OP you need to study John the Baptist and Jesus brother James. They believed a prior much earlier version of Christianity to Paul/Peters version. John the Baptists version of Christianity was around hundreds of years if not thousands before Pauls.

you dont know your early Christian history OP....

Wow. You just told me to have a blessed day only to come back and accuse me of exactly what you guy's have been doing. I just asked for a source, so I could know where your coming from. John the Baptist is pretty well documented in the bible with him jumping at the sound of Mary, and his father not being able to speak. So what objection could you possibly have of me asking for a source?

I guess the last resort to stop the truth is to ban people from your posts.
Seems a seventh day evangelist on GLP has done just that after getting completely schooled about his phony youtube nonsense.
I am writing this just to let others know how far the fringe will go in order to keep you away from the original church. You know, the one that Christ built on Peter and said the gates of hell will not prevail against it.

And for the one that banned me. Not only did you loose the debate, you also lost any respect I had for you as a christian.

"The Pope and God are the same, so he has all power in Heaven and earth." Pope Pius V, quoted in Barclay, Chapter XXVII, p. 218, "Cities Petrus Bertanous".

Prove it. Show the whole page with credible sources. Not second hand or what your church leaders say. I have proved you to be a liar again and again, yet you just come up with more lies and statements taken out of context. So now it is your turn. Don't post youtube drivel, I want actual documents in full, or a retraction.

Re: Catholics not welcome on GLP?
Did Jesus really build any church? I get the impression that he set an example of how people should live. There were several Christ-like figures in history.

1. Buddha
2. Krishna
3. Odysseus
4. Romulus
5. Dionysus
6. Heracles
7. Glycon
8. Zoraster
9. Attis
10. Horus

The thing that I don't understand is that all branches of Christianity are preaching about the same end message. Living a good life and gaining entrance to Heaven. However, they seem to spend a lot of time bickering about the small pieces. If the entire Christian body as a whole cannot come to terms, how do they expect people to take them seriously as a religion?

Something else I have always wondered about was how Jesus took center stage to God. God of the OT seemed pretty vein. He wanted all the praise and didn't want to allow any entity to share the light. I know that some people say that "Well, Jesus is God, they are one and the same". But, it sure seemed like a lot of work was put into the story in the NT that Jesus was the Son of God.

Of course, since now Christians live by Jesus and no longer the OT, like the Jewish people do; they don't feel the need to follow the OT laws...Well at least not all of them. They still seem to bring up that they are against gays, because they are an abomination to God. I remember a few other things in the OT that were abominations of God as well, but folks seem to think they are alright now and don't have to look at them as that (like eating shellfish for instance).

I was told once that Jesus abolished the OT law, so that is why Christians don't have to follow it. I have been researching the religion for years and have never seen once where Jesus abolished the old laws. In fact, I get the sense that is why Jesus really created no laws; he expected people to continue living under the old laws.

I would be interested in hearing the Christian's thoughts on this. I have many questions, but not very many avenues to ask them. Most of my friends that are Christians won't answer my questions.

Thanks.
