But she felt like you should feel like you should get her something anyway. She sulked because you didn't feel the same sense of obligation to get her something, as she felt to say you shouldn't. Like when people say, "no, I'm not supposed to take tips". They secretly hope that you will say, "I don't care. I'm the customer, and it's your job to make me happy. I won't be happy if you refuse this tip." They say they won't accept the money because they are SUPPOSED to. But you can find a way to trump what they are SUPPOSED to do... She was supposed to say that. You were supposed to trump what she said, too. When I was dating american women, it was a pain in the ass because they said one thing, and next thing i know, they would get pissed because I did what they told me to do, but would then tell me, but I didn't really mean that. WTF? Had this problem with american and british women. Looks like new zealanders are the same. |
