Something is happening.....Sun rises late in Iceland (it was rising early last year)

Normal. After the winter solstice, the Sun obviously rises earlier and earlier and sets later and later until the summer solstice, then the sun rises later and later and sets earlier and earlier until the winter solstice, then ... and so on. Normal natural cycles.

Something's wrong for sure. And I think there's more than just when the sun's rising. There've been NUMEROUS postings about the sun's increased brightness and intensity over the last two years--its much hotter.

I think you have your facts mixed up...

Yes the sun changes in position through out the year, but its in the same spot year after year.

The fact that its rising late is a really bad sign...

I hate to break it to all of you suntards/moontards that think the sun/moon is "misbehaving" but there are almanacs online and in print to show sun/moon rise and sunset/moonset for most places on earth and they don't vary from the predictions.

It has been world news the Sun rose 2 days early in greenland and it was a huge deal in the scientific community. The op is saying the cycle is even worse this year

well...to begin with...IT'S THE EARTH THAT IS ROTATING ON ITS AXIS. So it has nothing to do with the sun. The rotation is what causes day and night. If the Earth were slowing in its rotation, we would be noticing it world wide with clocks that don't make sense. Now, the Earth is also revolving around the sun. If it has slowed down or sped up we would have noticed it on our calendars..no?

Except that the sun didn't actually rise early in Greenland. It's a known atmospheric refraction phenomenon called the Novaya Zemlya effect. It was documented some 200 years ago. Sorry to disappoint you, but the sun is exactly where it belongs.

Yes, it would be a really bad sign, if it was actually happening. But it's not. If it was, tens of thousands of astronomers would be screaming about it within hours.

You can "hear" lots of wacky thing on the internet. Doesn't men they are true in any way, shape or form.
