active Etna - Canary sleep,
quietly on Etna - begins the next El Hierro "crisis".
brings to mind an open German geophysicists huge lava "tunnel" from the Canary Islands under mountains in Morocco and Tunisia - perhaps even to Sicily?

precise mathematical formula and a direct link between tremor and height of fountain no, tremor is only an indirect indicator (that's why you you can never predict the height of the fountain even for few minutes before eruption)

fountain height depends on the rate of arrival of lava, on the characteristics of the camera where lava is mixed with water and saturated with gas, and the characteristics of the "outlet."
a tremor depends on many more additional features

don't remember correctly value for previous eruption (i guess it stored at INGV site), likely 150-200 (also question at wich station you mean)
