Ok, I'll put things down numerically.

1. Nowhere in the healthcare reform bill, neither the ones that were not passed nor the one that was, is there an indication that any type of "chipping" of any U.S. citizen at any time will ever take place. That being said, the bill has a provision for CONSENTING individuals to have a microchip installed along with their pacemaker so that those persons can be easily notified in the event of a pacemaker recall.

2. The bill also calls for the construction of a nation-wide health registry that contains the medical info of every person entered into the system. This practice is dubious at best, but could potentially save some lives. So, it's a bit of a tough call since it smacks of a "Big Brother" all-seeing eye.

3. I am not a believer in the divinity of Jesus Christ of Nazareth and am strongly skeptical that such a person existed. However, I am fully aware that many scholars much more learned than I have compelling evidence for Jesus' existence. That being said, I think that even if he existed, his teachings were very positive and beneficial, except for all the damnation business. Also, I hold the Holy Bible to be nothing more than a definitive collection of fantasy and imagination. Though there are non-Biblical accounts of the existence of many characters mentioned in the Bible, none of the books, even the apocryphal ones, in the Bible were written during the duration of Christ's life. None were written within the lifespan of any of the major characters. The earliest estimate of the writing of the Gospels is at least 150 years after the death of Jesus.

Basically, I will not for a second put my faith and trust into a compilation of texts that were written by uneducated, bigoted, primitive and barely literate authors who never once met any of the subjects of their accounts.

4. So, naturally, I do not believe that a "Rapture" will ever take place. The apocalypse surely is at hand, but it has always been so, ever since man discovered that pointy sticks could kill living things. Basically, even if there were a plan to "chip" American citizens, it has nothing to do with Biblical prophecy. Furthermore, are you aware of the number of gun-owning citizens in this nation? You'll never convince me, even for a second, that a God-fearing, gun-toting American will let some doctor jab him with a needle to "chip" him. Even if the military was called in, they'd be wiped out, just as they are being wiped out in the Middle East.

Also, if Romney is elected, he'll strike down the healthcare bill. So there's a 50% chance that, even if there were something to worry about, there will be nothing to worry about! Except for a nation being run by a man who is a member of a racist, sexist, bigoted religion and who also owns billions of dollars that he will not release the tax returns for, and who owns four separate mansions yet claims to understand the struggles of the common man.

So, cool your jets, brothers and sisters. No matter who's elected, nothing's going to change. We the people are apparently far too lazy to start a revolution. A revolution to overthrow our sick and corrupted government is the only, I repeat ONLY, way to make this nation worthy of the its own Constitution. So load your firearm, stock up on ammo, and maybe start thinking about taking things into your own hands for once in your life, instead of ranting about how much you hate this guy or that guy. Besides, the Bible says to love everyone, regardless of any other factors. So a long line of evangelical Christians should be lining up to shake Obama's hand and embrace him lovingly as a true brother of this beautiful world.

Anyone think there's even a ghost of a chance that any Christian will follow the teachings of Christ? Ha, not even for a second. I love this Christ guy, I just wish more Christians would do what Christ tells them to do. THAT, brothers and sisters, would be a true miracle.

First off, the referenced information was not part of the "Obamacare" health care legislation actually enacted by Congress. The page numbers and language cited in the example above were taken from HR 3200, an early House version of health care reform legislation which was never passed by Congress. Passages cited from HR 3200 are therefore irrelevant, as that bill was never signed into law. Likewise, although similar language was included in initial versions of the subsequent reconciliation bill (HR 4872), it too did not appear in the final version of that bill as passed by Congress.

Second, nothing in any of those unpassed bills mandated that anyone be implanted with any type of microchip or device, for any reason. The passages quoted above reference a section of the legislation that simply called for the creation of a registry which would allow the Department of Health and Human Services to collect data about medical devices "used in or on a patient" (including devices which patients consent to have implanted in them during surgery, such as pacemakers) for purposes that include tracking the effectiveness of such devices and facilitating the distribution of manufacturer recall notices. Absolutely nothing in those bills required that patients receive any type of implantable device (microchip or otherwise) or authorized the government to mandate the implantation of devices in patients.

Some May 2012 versions of the hoax that either arrived in one's e-mail or were posted to Facebook displayed a photo of the purported chip meant to be implanted, an item described as the size of "a grain of rice."

The chip shown in the photo is actually one that measures glucose levels in diabetes patients, as evidenced by this 2007 article about this new concept in glucose monitoring.
