"What would you think if I said that the Rapture IS a biblical teaching? In the church of God, we do not like to use this term because of its evangelical overtones and its reputation as a doctrine of wild-eyed, Bible-thumping fanatics. The essence of the idea, though, comes straight from Holy Writ!

Proponents of the Rapture cite I Thessalonians 4:16-17 as their chief source of information:

For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.

So far, so good. But how did this teaching of the apostle Paul ever come to be called the Rapture? The answer lies in the word translated "shall be caught up" (Greek harpagésómetha). In Latin, this word is rapere, from which "rapture" is derived. Free of any arcane or mysterious interpretation, it simply means "to be caught up," "snatched" or "seized."

4 And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed a hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.

Remember, the 144,000 are the Children of Israel. There are the chosen ones that are "redeemed" or "raptured".

Just like in the movie "Knowing" before the Earth destructive solar flare occurred, the rapture happened of the children or chosen ones.

"The Passover Connection:

Three holidays are associated with the giving of firstfruits in the Old Testament. Firstfruits are mentioned in connection with the Feast of Weeks (Shavout) in Numbers 28:16, Tabernacles (Sukkot) in Exodus 23:16 and Passover in Leviticus 23:10. Since Passover (Pesach) was the first of the three holidays, the "first firstfruits" were offered in connection with that holiday. The Passover lambs were sacrificed on the 14th day of the month of Nisan, the first day of Passover was the 15th, and the Feast of Firstfruits fell on the 16th of Nisan. (Bear in mind that on a Jewish calendar, a new day begins when the sun sets, not when it rises." The portion of firstfruits at Passover was called the "omer." It was forbidden to hat from the crop until this portion had been offered (Leviticus 23:14)."

The First Fruits is Easter or Resurrection Day! Easter is associated with the Bunny!

In the movie "Knowing" the two kids at the end of the movie are "raptured" or "redeemed" from the Earth in a UFO spacecraft right before the destructive solar flare hits Earth. These two kids remind me of the saying of the "144,000 children of Israel" being redeemed. The first fruits.

Look at this below. At 1:39 in the clip, the two kids put down the rabbits on the field. Connection to the First Fruits????
