What if all those other "primitive" people are just biobots or something. And conscious people are in the minority ... I am starting to think maybe this might be true. What if everything is just an experiment and we are the guinea pigs.

clappa I started to think this way. Others are just stupid AI. They help you to move the game along, but not very good for open world play.

Re: Does anyone else feel like you are talking to cavemen when you are out in the real world?
Yep...same here. It's been a rough last year. I don't feel motivated to talk with family or old friends or go out. Have wondered if I am depressed....but I don't think so. I just have stopped connecting to people around me. Weird, as I was always a very social person. I just am not interested in the conversations people have. They seem trivial. I feel like people are staying in their own delusional realities instead of acknowledging what is really going on around us.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 945543

Yes but the coin has two sides, what if you are just consumed by your own reality and only believe that you know what you are talking about? we like to think that we know things but we know nothing we speculate, we think we know more than these "cavemen" but in reality we are worse because we laugh at their stupidity and ignore our own, makes you wonder how pointless it all is.

Are all you preferring to keep to yourselves lately too?

All I know is I can take my friends (and people in general)in very very small doses. And it's getting smaller every week.

I don't miss socializing. In fact, when I do socialize, I can't wait to come home to decompress.

I don't own a television set nor buy the newspaper. I like my little world. Well.....I've adapted to my little world I should say.

I just like to read, play guitar and surf the net.
And when I'm out, I love to walk the beach alone or find a nature preserve and be among nature. People are distracting. If not, annoying when I'm with them.

I am totally aware that I am choosing to be alone for the most part yet I am so conditioned by society (with words like: isolation, loner, hermit, withdrawn, recluse, secluded and unsocial...) that this behavior is psychology wrong.

I just know I rather be 'wrong' in the eyes of others than to feel uncomfortable deep within.

Anyone else?

I tried debating the Osama death with a group of people. Saying maybe its all BS and Osama has been dead for awhile now. They countered by referring to this photo as proof: [link to img844.imageshack.us]

A single photo proves it all went down the way the MSM said it did. The public mind acts and thinks exactly the way the television tells them to.

being with others is an even lonelier because I feel like a fortunate outcast.

Re: Does anyone else feel like you are talking to cavemen when you are out in the real world?
You know what I've been wondering? I wonder, if we're experiencing this detachment due to our soul-age.

What I mean is, perhaps, older souls (like us?) feel this disconnect lately because we're entering some sort of awareness on one level yet, don't recognize it, on another.

Maybe we're not comfortable with younger souls who seem very superficial to us?

Maybe we know, people in general, are very superficial because they're bi-products of their artificial environment and we're not?

Maybe we're deep-thinkers because we're wiser and know deep within, this is NOT what life is all about? Because watching television, gossiping, buying the newest gadgets, playing competitive sports and immersing ourselves in this materialistic/artificial world seems foreign and meaningless to us because we're above it (spiritually speaking)?

Maybe we know all this based on our past lives (but can't remember) therefore we know deep within, this world is guiding us away from our true purpose? And maybe this is just coming more to fruition because of 2012 and some kind of enlightenment?

I think the truth lays somewhere within my rambling.

Re: Does anyone else feel like you are talking to cavemen when you are out in the real world?
I just got back from the bar and all I saw around me was primitive consciousness. All the conversations revolved around sex, alcohol, and tribal rituals (sports). I almost feel like an alien when I talk to old friends or strangers. I meditate and spend a lot of time in deep thought and when I am around a group of people, it's almost like I can predict their thoughts and feelings. I just try to pretend like I care about trivial matters that effect them, but it's almost impossible for me to involve myself in their lives because I can see the outcome of all their relationships and actions. It's a very detached and lonely existence, but I'm not sure what to do about it. It's like I am an observer and operating at a level above 3d reality.

Anyone else feel this way?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 3554817

Yes and there are many reasons why.

First of all, I want to acknowledge that I feel very much the same way as you do. The only difference is that I am very good with "lowering my mind" to the level of what you speak to at least have a semi-normal social life.

I hate 95% sports and find it mindless. I like to PLAY some type of sports but simply watching it, no way. While the average stooge is off watching sports in the bar with his/her fellow cavemen I am spending my time doing things like learning new languages.

I am, as I assume you are as well, highly intelligent (160+ IQ) and therefore the typical dolt that you will encounter in your daily travels does not even slightly compare in regard to "normal thinking" as to where you exist.

From time to time I actually go to the bar and drink beer to "numb my mind" to a point I can tolerate the typical caveman conversation that takes place in public. I do have ONE friend I made at the bar that can carry on cool conversations with me on topics like physics, arts and general sciences. It is actually funny as when he and I start talking as we notice we get these "dead stares" from people that are listening to what we talk about, would like to understand, but find themselves totally lost.

There are many levels of intelligence. Think of it in comparison to the "1%" financial elites. They are so far over and above the rest of the people that they become "disconnected" in relating to the rest. They just don't "understand" why others can not be as they are or are of predator type personalities and do clearly understand but use it as an advantage to easily prey on others.

Same with intelligence... we are the "1%" (less percentage actually more like 0.25%) and therefore WE can not easily relate to the way the "simple mind" way of thinking works.

Ever watch people at checkouts unable to use a debit card? The terminal just blows their minds and they act as if they have never seen one before.

They lack the ability to perform Critical Thinking, therefore it is VERY EASY for the "magic box" to tell them what to think.

There are WAY WAY more "followers" then leaders, there are way more that lack intelligence than possess it, there are way more unmotivated people than motivated, there are way less people that want fundamental change in their lives than living the same comfortable life.

Put it all together and you end up with what appears to you as drooling sheep with no useful purpose in life. Mostly mindless medicated drones with no hope of changing.

Best advise I can offer you is to seek out the other < 1% that can relate to you, understand you and share common ground.

We are out here. ;)

Just get really drunk or try to find more like-minded people to hang around.

Alcohol always makes other people more interesting so long as you are the one consuming it.

Re: Does anyone else feel like you are talking to cavemen when you are out in the real world?
I wish I knew how to convince people that thinking about difficult things (even sad things) is actually rewarding in the long run, even if it's not fun at first.

People are really not that lazy in general... in my opinion. Yes, some people are, and do nothing but play video games all day, but most people do a lot of work, chores, errands, and so on throughout their days. This includes people who work at desks - they may not be as physically active but they are still getting things done - and artists - money is not a good measure of their productivity but what they do is very important - None of these types of people are lazy and I respect their productivity.

BUT, most people tend to be LAZY THINKERS. They want the immediate answer. Especially on a scary or sad topic. e.g. "Radioactivity from Fukushima? WTF?? Wait, this guy whose entire income comes from the nuclear industry says it's no big deal, so I guess it isn't. That doesn't make much sense to me, I barely understand what radioactivity is and how it works, but I have a sense that it's been known to be very bad at any dose for decades...BUT, if I don't think about it anymore, what he said sounds good, in fact, it's just what I was hoping to hear, so it must be true. Phew!!"

This annoys me so very, very much. And I love GLP because it is much less the case here. People aren't lazy thinkers here.

When the majority (and the people in charge) are lazy thinkers, we end up making stupid mistakes as a society, so it's very concerning for me. I know people are smarter than how they usually act, I know they can think if they try, but it's so hard to get them to try. If I do, people just say I'm a downer.

We cannot heal a wound if we are accused of being a downer for pointing out that it's there. This is a good way to get gangrene. >:(

Any tips on how to get people to be willing to think deeper about topics that are not immediately "fun" ??

Yes! I'm glad I'm not the only one ... It's like they have mental blocks and emotional blocks and no spirit ... As if life has become those 3 boxes: work, sports and sex. There's no 'personal atmosphere' to people any more.

Well, I know what I'd like to do but, can't really talk about it, money and sex is what these people are about but in other places it's diff. some are starving its to bad the world has to be like this some are primitive and don't share and kill over it, there's rivers with no rain, got to channel the waters to grow, but the ones that know how don't wanta try to help. Then there's others that just take and take until there's nothing left, humans its just to bad

Unfortunetly thats when one realises that we are not created equal. Some of us are superior.

Well, yeah...

Unfortunately many people who think they are superior are not.

It is how you develop that matters.

Many people are vain and dumb in their twenties but develop their intellect or perception over the years. They grow into more interesting people, it just took them a little longer.

Other people seem intelligent and deep as teens but don't grow. Meet them again in middle age and they are still teenagers.

The last thing I want to do is start dissonance on this thread but may I say: you sound incredibly arrogant.

This is not about intelligence. It's about enlightenment.
Besides, intelligence doesn't matter. Wisdom does. Who cares if you aced all your tests in school? Or can count to a million in your head? Or have memorized verbatim, everything you were 'taught'?

Intelligence is knowing a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is knowing it doesn't belong in a fruit salad!

Your arrogance really needs to be honed down.

And I've found those who brag (with digits) about their IQ usually are mistaking. You see: a smart person doesn't need to prove anything. Their humbleness speaks volumes.

My girl and I went to a family gathering and spent most of the time just listening to total trivial bullshit about vacations and sports.

We just smiled and did not have much to say.

We have noticed that when we do attempt to strike up a conversation or add our thouights it just stops the conversation dead in it's tracks because the people have no idea how to even respond as even the most basic of real events on going in the world are topics they have never even heard of many times or have only heard the MSM lies on the topic, being spoon fed pablum and have no clue what we are talking about.

So...we just hang out together and read.

I don't pay much attention to movies, or tv shows. Those are the sort of subjects people seem to want to talk about.

I would rather talk about a variety of subjects, almost none of which have to do with Hollywood. In fact, it seems that people think I am not quite as smart as them since I am not up to par on such things.

But then a problem will come up that needs solving. Something slightly out of the ordinary for the day. I will come up with a way to solve it. It won't even be a major 'thinking outside the box' moment, but it works.

For a moment they will say something about how smart I am, or how they never would have thought of that. Then it is right back to stupid subjects, or talk about how bad their lives are.

I feel like this anytime I’m out in public. I estimate that at least 90% of the population has gone full retard. This is just based on observing the way people drive or from what I overhear.

One time I went into a Wal-Mart and the level of retardum in that place was so high I didn’t know if I would make it out with my sanity.

By the way the only reason I was in a Wal-Mart was to see if I could destroy the Heart. I looked in the electronics department beyond the plasma screen televisions but couldn’t locate it before my evac time.

Re: Does anyone else feel like you are talking to cavemen when you are out in the real world?
I've felt this way my whole life. I can remember being six, seven years old and being around kids my age and HATING it, and thinking, "God, you people are stupid."

I would get insecure, though, not having friends, feeling like I was too "serious"...

... but then I ended up meeting a few intelligent people, and I've been friends with them ever since, and while they are not quite as "concerned" as I am about the dumbing-down of the country, they are way ahead of the average person in terms of "getting it", realizing we live under a False Reality.

So, with them, I can be a fun guy. But around the sheep? I can't do it. I just find them offensive, boring.

It's not about feeling "better" than other people, it's about feeling like you just can't connect. It's lonely.
 Quoting: J_Tribble

Yes, it is lonely. I don't mind being alone most of the time. But it would be nice to connect with others more often that feel the same way I do.

I mean I can fit in for the most part. People tend to think I am funny. Sadly they seem to laugh when I am being serious, and not always laugh when I am joking.

Perhaps I am a bit inappropriate with humor sometimes. But it keeps me from being bored out of my mind around most others.
