Calm before the STORM!!! Earthquakes, CME's, Magnetospere, We are about to get SMACKED! | |

That is huge. I just confirmed it on the USGS site at: [link to earthquake.usgs.gov] Even though we have been expecting this kind of thing, it still is a bit of a shock when it happens. Hopefully, a few more people will heed our warnings and prepare accordingly. I hope so, this could go on for days too! Hopefully they will pin this and leave it there for a while. In my opinion, and this is just me saying, I think this is just the beginning. I expect it to get a lot worse. More earthquakes and larger in magnitude. Not trying to scare anyone, just my opinion based on what we have seen so far. So far no tsunami warning. Here is a link for those interested: [link to ptwc.weather.gov] |

Just curious as they don't put that info out, but i do figure it takes time for the flare to invade our core and play with the weather and then finally materialize into a volcano or earthquake going off. At least that is what I figure. |

I hope that is all we will get, but hopes can be dashed. I am in south southern California, not far from the coast, so hoping things stay quiet, as always. I can see the USGS maps with my eyes closed... |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1331430 (JaneDoeXOX) Lots of big events going on at this time: full moon, the X-flares, CME, Mars-Moon, etc., there's bound to be a 6+ quake or higher in the next 24 hours. FYI there was a 6.1 in China about 4 hours ago [link to quakes.globalincidentmap.com] Thank you, ANHEDONIC. Do you guys think a second 7+ can happen in the same day? |

I've only read the first and last two pages of this thread, but most of what I've seen has been begging for pins and not a lot of new information. Maybe that's why there's no pin on it, y'know? Maybe ... with new info and a lot of active discussion, you can keep it toward the top of the page anyway. And sooner or later, someone will either be interested enough to karma pin, or a mod will think it's relevant again. Until then, having a thread that has updates that consist a lot of "pin talk" is kinda ... not interesting. Though I do love what you've said here (not concerning the pins). The first page, especially, was very, very informative. :) |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 11258553 United States 03/09/2012 03:13 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Having been a resident of Central California my whole life, I have been experiencing earthquakes since I was a child. I lived through the 6.9 Loma Prieta earthquake that took out part of the Bay Bridge, destroyed hwy 880, and postponed the '89 world series. However, earthquakes are something you never get "used to." Every time a five pointer hits, it still leaves me feeling rattled. With that said, when I hear people making light of New Madrid plumes or saying that cme's don't matter it makes me think that these people have probably never felt an earthquake before. For if they had, they would not be making light of it. For those of you that have never felt an earthquake, here is a story about the '89 SF quake. A friend of mine was working in Oakland, Ca when the earthquake hit. This is a 6ft, 300lb guy with 20" arms. He said that when the earthquake hit he freaked out so bad that he ran out of the auto repair shop where he was working and tried to keep his balance by holding on to one of those skinny little trees that line the streets. As funny as that sounds, another guy who was also a mechanic in Oakland said he could see waves, like you see in the ocean, travel through the concrete shop floor as the quake happened. He was literally thrown to the floor by the quake. Needless to say, neither of those guys live in the bay area anymore. So to all the naysayers, shills, and thread derailers, you should hope to never experience an earthquake of that magnitude. If you do, you will think that the earth is coming to an end. |

Tommy, I just read your other post where you were talking about going against the sheeple and just wanted to let you know that I have been battling the same thing. However, it turns out that what we think are just sheeple are actually paid shills. These people, some of who are not very intellegent, are actually paid to come on sites like this and derail threads. For example, one guy was on a thread last night for something like four hours and in that time all he did was post animated gifs and one-line derogatory comments. Can or would anyone not paid to do so spend that much time trying to derail a simple thread? There was another guy earlier on your thread that was talking about being in physical measurement yet didn't know his ass from a hole in the ground. He ran off like a scared rabbit when I started asking him things that only someone with a scientific background would know. What I am trying to say here is that we are onto something and something real big or else these shills, naysayers, and thread derailers would not be trying so hard to conceal the truth. Watch any thread that deals with plumes, New Madrid fault zone, cme's, or earth changes and you will see how they are haunted by the same nonsense. Anyhow, all I can say is keep your chin up, don't worry about the negativity, and just remember that if we can get just one person to wake up, that is one more person that is now awake than yesterday. |

This seems to happen alot more frequently since the last 2 major earthquakes, the first Chile quake shifted the earth 3 inches, and Japan shifted it 4-10 inches, I do not ever remember seeing this before that, even with some smaller 5+ quakes it happens now. Could it be from just better and more sesmio's? |
