Phoenix Lights 15th anniversary of one of the most-famous UFO sightings in recent history
Phoenix's FOX 10 reporter Andrea Robinson was in the middle of an on-air report when an unexplained, bright white explosion appeared in the distance behind her.

The strange blast was caught on tape and aired live during Robinson's report. At first, news station employees thought the explosion was a transformer. But when FOX 10 checked with local utility providers APS and Salt River Project, they were told no transformers had blown in the area.

While the source of the explosion remains a mystery, it comes just before the 15th anniversary of one of the most-famous UFO sightings in recent history. On March 13, 1997, a cluster of glowing orbs moving in a V-shaped formation was spotted in the skies above Phoenix. That incident was also caught on film. The origin of the light formation has since been endlessly analyzed and debated.

Re: Phoenix Lights 15th anniversary of one of the most-famous UFO sightings in recent history
About a week from the 15th anniversary of the 'Phoenix Lights' event , a new set of lights has national UFO investigators taking a close look at the skies over the Valley.

In two clips totaling about four minutes, a Valley resident videotaped an eye-catching series of lights in the night sky over north Phoenix near Cave Creek.

The person recorded the "V" shaped object about 10 days ago.

He and several witnesses with him turned the video over to the Mutual UFO Network, known as MUFON .

The Phoenix chapter of MUFON has possession of the two video clips, and according to MUFON Arizona Director Jim Mann, the agency has an investigator assigned to the case.

Important for people to recognize that the flares the military dropped came a full hour and a half after the initial sightings were made across the greater Phoenix area and people (including the then governor) actually physically spotted a large craft in the sky and not just some stationary lights in the sky (like from the flares dropped much later in the night). The flares were cleverly deployed scapegoat orchestrated by the military to divert attention from the real event.

No it was flares, there was not one vid out of all them that showed a craft. The flares dissipated behind the mountains one at a time. Reason they went out one at a time is because the plane that dropped em was moving at a fairly high rate of speed so they came out in a row ever couple seconds.

I am one of those guys who believe there are aliens out there being how the universe is so big and there could be a planet that had... say a 10 million head start on us and has technology to visit other planets.

In my lifetime i would LOVE to see solid proof of aliens or ufos and im always checking out the stuff on the internet but im still not convinced they visited us yet.

You are obviously not familiar with the timeline of the sightings during the night in question.... The flares were dropped 90 minutes later then when the sightings first occurred. Even the governor Fife Symington saw a craft in the sky during the earlier sightings, he went on the record with his sighting 10+ years later. The flares were an ill-timed diversion from the event and you took the bait, hook, line, and sinker.
sorry

they were in a V shape pattern, so the flares must have been dropped by several aircraft?

I don't think so...........

Re: Phoenix Lights 15th anniversary of one of the most-famous UFO sightings in recent history
funny how the media kept this "Contained" to just the Phoenix area.

I remember when this happened, I'm in California and the first I heard about it was from the Net.

If one of the Kardashians sneezes the media makes sure we all hear about it but if a large craft flies over a major city they keep it local.
