Burned by hot oil on my face:( Any recommendations on what to put on it so it doesn't scar?

Do an internet search.

A thorough search and find actual testimonies from people that worked like in chat rooms etc.

I have read that egg whites are the best thing to minimize scarring and help healing etc. The story was of a person that suffered a bad burn and they did that and when they got to the hospital that person was told that they did the right thing.

the idea being to prevent sunlight from reaching the affected area.

tanning=scarring. sunblock if nothing else. anything with high reflectivity.

Wow I have some of that in my "end of the world" pile. I wonder if that would help scarring?

Burned my entire palm on a 300 degree cast iron skillet. Covered it with mustard. No blisters no scars.

Vitamin E oil in capsules, does wonders for skin conditions and scarring, apply topically or consume.

Go to any drugstore or drug isle in a major supermarket and get you some liquid vitamin E. Put on the site 2-3 times a day until healed. I was in a car wreck years ago and had facial cuts from glass - I used the E and no scars remain.

BTW...always cold water first and treat the burn as soon as possible after it happens.

Interesting, though I try not to get much sun on my face but I do have diaper cream. I have Noxema on it at the moment, though don't know what good that'll do.

It will heal all by it's self with no scar, made the same mistake quite a few times, sometimes you can't even tell after half hour or so.

Go to the grocey store and buy L-Lysine it's a amino acid that is a skin cell replenisher. it will help from the inside while you tend to the outside I take 1000mg everyday

Aloe Vera now then when it starts healing apply a little Vitamin E oil a few times a day.

My mother was severely burned by boiling oil several years ago, (a boiling pot was dumped accidently on her arm, hand and back). Her arm and back was just a mass of raw, bleeding infection. She had to have all of the burned flesh removed with a razor - it was awful. An acquaintance of ours recommended a doctor who, at the time was the head of a burn unit at a local hospital.

The doctor had me prepare a shake for her to drink three times a day. He told me to mix Carnation Instant Breakfast mix with milk and two raw eggs. He also had me rub Nivea cream on her arm and back after the infection had cleared and the skin was sufficiently healed.

She faithfully drank this, (I don't remember for how many days - this was more than twenty years ago).

To this day, there is no scarring. Her skin is beautiful..It is truly unbelievable. The doctor said that the key was the raw eggs in the shake.

I'm a believer.

raw eggs = collegin nivea provides a similar barrier as aloe or viatmin E, makes sense

oil of oregano should heal it , better to use immediatly although would still help after the burn hass set

It's seeking scar minimization, not like flesh is hanging off my skin and I'm saying "OMG WHAT DO I DO???"
