You do not have mono....23 yr paramedic and nurse practitioner . the oil pullling will not hurt you, BUT...if you just absolutely cannot get a friend/familt member to take you to the E.R. try the oil pulling....but you really need to go to the e.r. the infection has spread into lymphnodes and you will need stronger antibiotics, probably a zpack, or something stronger. Plz dont procrastinate....also, gargle every 3 hours with warm salt water , add 1tsp of salt to 6-8oz. of warm water..stir and gargle in the back of your throat for 1 full minute, 3-5 times a day, (IF YOUR NOT GOING TO DO THE OIL PULLING...DONT DO THEM BOTH TOGETHER....PICK ONE OR THE OTHER!)YOU MAY A PEA SIZED ROCK HARD PC. OF PUSS, GREEN MUCUS LOOKING STUFF, IT GETS STUCK IN THE FLAP ON ONE OF THE SIDES OF THE BACK OF YOUR THROAT....GARGLING WITH SALT WATER SHOULD DISLOADGE THIS AND BRING IT OUT...IT MAY BE WHATS CAUSING THE SWELLING IN YOUR LYMPHNODES....BUT ID SAY ANOTHER ROUND OF ANTIBIOTICS IS NESSASARY.
