My husbands family hardly EVER talks to us....few years back he got a workers comp settlement..it wasn't HUGE, but good for us, haha - $20,000......you'd be amazed at how quick our phone started ringing then.......but we didnt answer....let them leave messages...f*** them.

There was a case just like this in Alabama over a decade ago and the winner kept all the money. On a one-dollar ticket, the courts will see this grab for money for what it is. If none of the tickets the group bought were the winning ones, the 'greed' is on the part of the co-workers. Anyway, without a signed contract, all their yelling means nothing. I can 'say' the moon is green cheese but that doesn't prove it is.

You can be certain that had any of those other people in the group won that money, they wouldn't feel that sharing with her was 'the right thing to do.' Nobody does that. And smart winners know to keep their mouths shut and get the hell out of town fast. If states want to avoid this kind of crap, they should probably just get rid of lotteries. They really do bring out the worst in everyone.

Exactly why office pools should never be QP's. Each person in the pool fill in a section of the play slip and puts in $1. The play card is photocopied and signed by all players, each player gets a copy.

That's how we did it when I was in an office pool.

When we have a group plan at work, the person responsible for buying the ticket photocopies it and sticks it on the wall in the staff room. Then there is no misunderstanding about the ticket. It is very possible the woman did buy extra tickets. I sometimes do that. I'm surprised her workplace let her buy the ticket and just trust 'faith' that she will do the right thing.

If you are buying tickets for an office pool, then ONLY BUY TICKETS FOR THE OFFICE POOL. Any tickets you buy for that drawing, should be for the office pool. Am I being clear enough? I hope a judge forces that disgusting cow to split the winnings with her coworkers. If not, I hope the coworkers teach her a serious lesson. That woman should be very very afraid of a group of minimum wage hatians getting together to show her what they really think of her greediness because they don't have much to lose in this case.

It's a verbal contract with a group regardless if the $20 bill for tickets came from the front of your wallet or the back of your wallet.
