Quoting: Anonymous Coward 10267579 Can't they just fire it vertical - as in straight up so it doesn't cross anyone's airspace? That would defeat the purpose of testing along range missle. |

This must be stopped at all cost. For NK, this is business and they have evil buyers on the black market. These missiles are for "test" for buyers to see how far it can go. 1993- In January of that year, the commander of the Iranian Revolution Guard Corps, Mohsen Rezai, went to Pyongyang to finalize a 2.7 billion dollar purchase of around 300 Scud missiles from North Korea.[2] Around the same time, the Iranian delegation came to watch the final Nodong-1 tests and North Korea announced its withdrawal from the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. It was suspected upon successful testing of the missiles, Iran intended to trade oil for the Nodong missiles, [link to en.wikipedia.org] lOOK AT THE HISTORY OF THIS missiile test from 1993 - [link to en.wikipedia.org] |

It couldn't achieve a stable orbit that way, and wouldn't be an effective test of anything but propulsion systems. the #1 issue with rockets has always been guidance. |

They are emptily sabre rattling as they do at least every 2 years. Kim Jong-un is just bullshitting. Ever seen a night view from above of N/S korea? S korea is lit with lights like most countries. Just above it, no korea is black as pitch. Is the latter going to engage powers for war? No. They want attention and more money. |

Earth observation satellites are satellites specifically designed to observe Earth from orbit, similar to reconnaissance satellites but intended for non-military uses such as environmental monitoring, meteorology, map making etc. They could have just acquire a billion of stocks with Google if all they want is just an earth satellite observation ,.
