I've been hearing a hum everyday and night since the beginning of 2006 in LaFollette, TN

it's been really annoying and I can only sleep with a box fan running all night to drown out the noise.

The hum is getting louder - and its starting to pulse ---geez on the full moon, the clicking was full on to.

The hum is driving me crazy.I have been trying to find the source. I have been hearing mostley when it is quiet and at night. I have been waiting for this to be posted on GLP. It sounds like a distant engine running. I live on a rural block miles from any body. I have been hearing it now for over a year and every day.
I had a two way radio not working and i grab the areil wire and it pick up a perfert siginal. I even transmitted and recived a clear siginal while i was hold the cable without the ariel. Dont know if this has any thing to do with it.

I posted but not sure where it ended up. I'm hearing the hum in Houston (live near kirby and w. alabama). It is very upsetting. Its gotten louder, stronger and strange pulse patterns. Right before this it stopped for a short time. I'm starting to drink at night because it has become very difficult for me to go to sleep because of this hum.

Frustrated and at times afraid.

Loud and clear in central NJ (Plainsboro) for the last 3 months or so. I usually hear it in the winter months only (3 years so far) but this year I can hear it now.

State College Post. I have found it there as well visiting Daughter at PSU.. I have done measurementss in Bellfonte and they replicate the same high pressure gas line hum we have in between Danbury and Hartford CT. Maybe PSU should study this, but I guess they do get gas company backing so not likely to be a very popular study.

No hum here, but I was laying in bed (recovering from a knee replacement) and I start to here what I thought was a large truck coming down our dirt road....instead of the sound subsiding as it got closer and passed our home a screaming ass jet flies overhead traveling north rattling my teeth in the process....

Hi, I am also in Aus - Perth Hills - moved here for a more peaceful life...Ironic, now I hear a low freq noise continuously. I hear it from moment I drive into the under house parking area - in the car. Then all thro house. No- one else hears it but had a test done and picked up 63 hz noise. It's like a low hum with irreg fraction of a second breaks. Turned off elec at mains, still hear It. No idea what it is...It's like torture. Worse at night. What now? Sell the house we just bought???!!!!

Very rare and only in the early morning hours, but O.C. Ca. Me thinks it's just my ears waking up sometimes, I don't know.

I was on vacay in the Alleghaney Foothills, Wellsville NY 14895 all of last week and heard the hum almost every night.

Have occasionally and seemingly at random times, heard very high pitch frequencies. Almost sounds like a hum or the sound that an ekg machine makes when someone flatlines. Its usually just one ear at a time, usually left. I do chalk it up to ALL the different radio waves we're all constantly bombarded with. Also, when I hear it, nobody else around me does.

the sound is like a c130 way off in the distance, like it's heading my way but never gets here. mostly at night when it's quiet and during the day when it's quiet in the house. happening since early 2011.

I have been experiencing a "hum" for about 6 months as a vibration in my chest or maybe my spine. I didn't really notice the hum, I noticed the pauses in the hum. I experience a 1 second pause in the hum, and it is really the pauses that I perceive more than the hum itself. It was a 12 or 13 second hum with a 1 sec pause 6 months ago but now I feel a 3 to 5 sec hum with the same 1 sec pause. I only notice it at night when I am laying still in bed.
