That vortex thing at 7o'clock looks to still be there.

Aside from that, not sure we've seen any strange artifacts or goings on at that section.

There s something on Google sky like this , cant remember the co-ordinates but I have seen it for myself......there has been some speculation that there is something near the Sun recently , NICT is down too.....I did however notice on the first pic on the link OP that the date was 2010.....no dates on the other pics though just the first...

it's not dated but it has to be from the 3rd of this month when soho went offline, i determined this by comparing the image in the op with this one

Go to [link to helioviewer.org] and select SOHO EIT 284 and you can view the whole image. Nothing there. Just data dropouts on the image on n2kl.org.

They're censoring the Sun's Giant Penis...so that it's family friendly.

Just missing data..happens quite often on all there sats..
