Why does the Government let them? A Chinese Group Plans To Construct A 200 Acre "China City" In Michigan A Chinese group known as "Sino-Michigan Properties LLC" has bought up 200 acres of land near the town of Milan, Michigan. Their plan is to construct a "China City" with artificial lakes, a Chinese cultural center and hundreds of housing units for Chinese citizens. Essentially, it would be a little slice of communist China dropped right into the heartland of America. This "China City" would be located about 40 minutes from both Detroit and Toledo, and it would be marketed to Chinese business people that want to start businesses in the United States. Unfortunately, this is not just an isolated incident. In fact, Chinese companies have been buying up land and businesses all over the country in recent years. There has even been talk of establishing "special economic zones" inside the United States modeled after the Chinese city of Shenzhen. It was inevitable that the Chinese were going to do something with the trillions of dollars that they have made flooding our shores with cheap products. What in the hell do you think this country was founded on? You don't think there were Irish or Italian friendly businesses to help get newly imported people a start? Since when did the American way shun LEGAL immigration... Hell, at least the incoming Chinese will be paying taxes and contributing to our local economy. These are geared more towards destroying the American Dream, rather than living it. I agree that Detroit is a cess pit and that the current Welfare-state system isn't working. However this won't help the area and it isn't about contributing to the local economy or paying taxes - part of the 'zoning' from my understanding is that they would have much lower taxes than the rest of the state. As well as exemption from labor laws. These things have been in the works for more than 20 years. Unfortunately, no matter how much some of those in power cling to ideology, the real economy will go nowhere without demand. This is a principal Henry Ford understood: there need to be enough people around who can afford to buy what you are selling or you won't sell very much. |

Mind you those who are panicking are losers who are concerned about their own asses rather than new comers or the 'America' as they constantly refer to. They complain that the immigrants send money home then they will complain if they bring their money here. they are constantly looking for excuses for their own failure. But they are right the new businesses are not for them, as they don't posses any experience and knowledge in demand.  |
