Exactly. They all have a set amount per year that we pay, I didn't realize they also were given money above that amount. I thought it was a flat amount. And all they talk about are how they are spending too much on those that need it, the true disabled and retired that need it. They have us thinking it is these programs breaking us when it is actually their benefits that are doing it.

Well, it's even more ridiculous if you think about it this way:

There are 365 days in a year, 24 hours in a day and 60 minutes in an hour

365 x 24 x 60 = 525,600 minutes in a year.

Even if that cocksucking coke snorting war criminal is on the phone every minute of the year, that's

$85,000.00 / 525,600 minutes = 16 cents a minute

Nobody pays 16 cents a minute anymore. 5 cents, 7 cents, maybe. This guy is a fucking crook. That $85,000 isn't for phone calls, it's hookers and blow money. He can go to hell.

No doubt, would be nice if there was a bill that they would have to send in their monthly expenses instead of getting a flat rate, or maybe they could pay for it from their $200,000 plus allotment for being a former president.

1. This has nothing to do with welfare.

2. The issues being discussed are budgetary concerns, not a direct pay out to the ex-POTUS. They are budget allocations for Secret Service, Administrative Services, etc.

-When a Corporate President/CEO retires, his schedule clears up. He no longer needs a staff to assist him.

-The former POTUS doesn't really retire after leaving office. They make personal appearances, they make Goodwill Trips both foreign and domestic. They deal with interviews, public speaking engagements, charity causes, correspondance, their library, and the list goes on.

-Yes, many Presidents recieve large fees for Personal Appearances, yet many of those fees are paid directly to their Foundations, and those funds are used for Charity projects, their Library, etc.

3. Each and every living former POTUS is included in these budgets it is called the FORMER PRESIDENTS ACT (3 U.S.C. § 102.

4. President Obama will most likely have an even higher monetary request, as will be true of his successor.

NOW ALL THIS BEING SAID: I am all for freedom of speech, but whether you like or dislike the current or former POTUS. They were elected to lead the country. You don't have to respect the person, but you should at least respect the OFFICE and what it represents.

Maybe it is a flat amount per anum, I don't know.
Protection goons keep on a few years or in addition as needed for travel, engagements, etc..
Bush has access to all kinds of additional income streams so maybe the dust-filled sewn carcasses of his parents have cut him off.
