My stomach is very upset and I am broke~ This is not the American Dream OK!!!!!!! Quoting: Anonymous Coward 15155804 You obviously haven't been submitting resumes and working with recruiters on your campus then. Jobs are everywhere, and just like this article says "Over 3.1 million jobs have been created in the last year and half". And if you have been watching the news unemployment continues to drop under Obamas watch. |

Seriously it's time to move on folks. The economy is never going to crash. Global economic doom in chaos is just a fantasy no matter how many BS threads that claim otherwise are posted on this forum. What we saw in 2008 is the worst it's ever going to get, at least in our lifetimes. And considering the progress we've made in just 4 years it makes me think that things were never that bad to begin with. Sure things might be pretty bad in Greece and some other places but things always work themselves out and get better even if it takes much longer than usual. |

The system is FUBARED and it ain't going to get fixed. If I was young, which I ain't, I'd catch a job crewing on a catamaran headed to parts unknown. Capitalism isn't a sustainable system. We all know that, and guess what, you are living at the end times...yea, the end times of capitalism. When the Mayans said "Time Ends." They didn't know that really ment that Time Clocks End. |

Don't bother wasting your breath OP These retards are complete believers in doom. Their lives suck and they have no social skills other than with sex chat lines and their Xbox 360 buddies. They think society is going to break down and relieve them of any future responsibility, or in the alternative, they are jealous of those who have succeeded and want to bring them down to their level. |

No, I'm afraid you are experiencing the effects of propaganda. Some people have a delusion that denial of external reality, aka, positive thinking combined with feel good stories and even lies, will actually result in a positive change. I keep telling myself how sexy and beautiful I am, and I keep thinking I'm gonna get rich and the dream stud of my life around the next corner, but ya know what? Reality Dude. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 15959186 Canada 05/14/2012 12:34 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This makes me feel so much better T_T I started my degree program in 2008 and I was ready to run out of there when the recession hit because they said jobs were being cut in my industry first. I was whining to the teachers, there's no future for us!!! He said it's okay! Stick it out, it'll recover by the time you're out! I'm glad I listened :) |

Thanks. You must be a shill too (kidding). I'm not saying that everything is roses and we are living in happy land. Times have certainly changed, but to think that we are the verge of a complete global economic implosion is ludicrous. It will never happen. The US won't let it happen and neither will the rest of the global superpowers. They can keep kicking the can down the road as long as they want to, it's that simple. 2008 had to happen to relieve some of the pressure so to speak and of course there will be recessions in the future as well, but things will never completely collapse no matter how hard all the doom mongers on here jack off and pray for it to happen. |

That logic would be sound and defensible if you actually understood what benefits the 1%. Your argument is locked up in assumptions regarding what makes the elites tick; That our productivity is of benefit to them. It's a sound concept up to a point, a point of mathmatical caculation relating population size vers the ability ot control and manipulate the popultion with the global media machine. This is where we are today. That the ability to control and direct the thought processes of the planetary population is changing far beyond all past experience. It's spinning out of their control. What we are all experiencing is direct evidence of the ability to actually control the real global economy by the 1%. It is a stop-gap measure while they attempt to figure a way to reduce the interface of people, eliminate numbers, or otherwise infect an agent which will prolong their time in control. So question your assumptions. They can kick the can down the road forever, but will it benefit them to do that? The answer is no. |

And if you have been watching the news unemployment continues to drop under Obamas watch. States are starting to end the 99 week unemployment payments. This has reduced the number of people "officially looking." Use a strange metric that only the government uses, reducing the officially looking lowers unemployment even though those people are still out of work. The real unemployment/underemployment figure is 22.3%. |
