Can someone please explain why I cannot see the eclipse in TN

It's because of matter, and how angular it can be, and it's also because of distance and how you can't see around angulars.

It's Japan/West Coast specific because of those places' perceptive view of the sun from where they are.

For the pacific time will start at 5:30 pm to 6:30.

You will be able to see it in TN. In Memphis a partial eclipse begins at 7:23 p.m. From Sky View Cafe.

You will not be able to see the annular eclipse, where the Moon covers the center of the Sun but does not appear big enough to cover it entirely.
