To close to Kennebunkport.

They would never allow the Bush compound to to be jeopardized that is certain.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 5648569

They have always want to have a reason to move to their 20,000 acre compound in south america. This shit is getting real. I am going to stock up on burrito coverings.

Yes but they say it's UNAFFECTED. Therefore no meltdown.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 10737954

Yup. No meltdown yet.

that's what they said about
Fukashima too
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 16583296

Yes and Fukushima's architectural integrity was compromised UNLIKE here.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 10737954

Believe it or not, the reactor does not care at all about the architectural integrity nor beauty of the building or submarine that the reactor is housed in, so long as there's cooling. (building architectural integrity itself IS more important for spent fuel pools, but not the reactor itself).

The reactor is only affected by how hot it gets. Without constant cooling, even a shut down reactor will get very hot indeed, and melt down. Design elements of the external structure notwithstanding.

Let's hope not.

Turn on your geiger counter if you've got one.

That will tell you whether it's time take a spontaneous trip out west or not.

yes but the lack of the architectural integrity sped up the heating and made it far harder to stop

I wonder why there was a breech in protocol
of allowing civilian firefighters in a
classified nuclear submarine ???

It's not black smoke. And the nuclear reactor is in the center of the ship and the artillery is in the forward of the ship. It'd have to spread quite a ways to do any damage. And that's IF it's armed. You're making a lot of assumptions.

Every news article states "billowing black smoke"
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 10737954

Uh huh, and I'm looking at a webcam feed that shows white smoke. So they're wrong.

Look at the timelapse and you'll see it started out black and is now white. Not that I know that these smoke colors tell us anything definitive anyway.

You are not getting out of this that easy. TPTB want a war with canada, so we have an event on USS Miami, in Maine near canada. If we wanted a war with spain we'd have an event on the USS Maine, in havana, near Miami. Everybody needs to start learning dirty jokes about the queen of canada so we can get their goats during the fisticuffs ahead. I heard the queen is actually bald and wears a powerdered whig like all loyalist canandian fancy boys.
