A question to Americans: Given the surreal current situation of USA, what you are waiting for to GTFO??
I mean, forget the whole Bruce-Springsteen-song type of patriotism and just answer the question as a human being:

Given the bizarre situation of the United States, gays taking over the country, zombie apocalypse, flesh-eating disease epidemic, sky rumbling noises, mass unemployment, nuclear residue coming from Japan, military drones being used against the population and other current scenarios that highly suggest the hell is gonna break loose over there, any time soon, what you are waiting for to GTFO??

I mean, there's a confluence of synchronous apocalyptic events, happening simultaneously, and it's not like you are gonna fight them with fire guns. I don't know what's the rate of Americans who own personal bunkers in their homes, emergency stuff, seeds, SHTF food, survival kits and stuff, but would you pick your family and leave everything behind, moving to another country not chosen to fulfill apocalyptic prophecies???

Some got means but no ways, some got ways, etc. I assume your concern for me means you will provide some assistance to my G-ing TFO. Otherwise, we got another data-mining thread on our hands.

So, Portuguese, huh?

Re: A question to Americans: Given the surreal current situation of USA, what you are waiting for to GTFO??
2 simple reasons

1) it costs money that many don't have
2) there is no country that you can legally go and stay unless you have money.

Most countries don't want us... can't say I blame them.

And to get out of the US requires the expatriot to deposit some large amount of money into a local banking account; for instance Costa Rica wants $150K in a Costa Rican bank for my family and I to live there. That can be a barrier to expatriation.

No data mining. Just a fair question. I mean come on... When you see people in the streets possessed or hosting some fabricated virus that make them eat other peoples flash, mysterious flash-eating bacteria contaminating people, military airplanes spraying shit in the air every single day, you have to ask yourself if it's a country safe for your family.

HAHAH

yes, poor OP is in Brazil, ignoring the immense shit storm about to hit the fan in Brazil, China and the emerging markets in the next 2 years

however, I live in Brazil, and I know that like Europe, their favorite indoor sport is US bashing

It keeps the sheeple distracted from the immense crap fest brewing in their own backyard

just think of all the eurotards who joyfully were still lecturing the US on prudence and debt, while their own houses were built on a fricken super volcano of debt

No offense, OP, and I wish you well, but if the crapolla hits the rotating blades, I'll take my odds in a nice little midwestern US town where you don't need a 15 foot wall topped with barbed wire just to sleep at night , like you do in most places in Brazil

Americans have been through worse, and we'll survive this too. We've got a resilient nature, and surprisingly, we're polite enough not to start troll threads like this telling you the pain you're about to endure when your new best friend China hits the economic skids

...and all those millions of "emergentes" who are paying 90% of their salaries to cover those 100% interest credit cards, find themselves unemployed

good luck to you OP. We'll be fine

With 200% Credit Card Interest Rates, Brazil Bracing for 12.5% Primte Rate

ouch

[link to www.brazzilmag.com]

Analysis: Household debt-service ratio is very high in Brazil

“For consumers (in Brazil) specifically, the ramifications are serious as the debt service burden has risen to 24 per cent of disposable income and is set to rise further as rates push higher (actually they have been lowered). We expect the burden to rise to an exorbitant 30 per cent by 2012.

To put this into context, the US consumer “blew up” when the debt service burden hit 14 per cent (with a current read of approximately 12 per cent).

In other words, the Brazilian consumer has twice the debt load from a cash flow perspective relative to a US consumer who is still widely regarded as being over leveraged.”

And it gets worse, because money has been pulling out of Brazil at the fastest rate of all emerging markets in the past 3 months...

get ready for the big kaboom....

OP, again, focus on the issues in your own back yard before starting trouble over hear....

In all honesty OP, the main driving factor for many is money as was already mentioned. I've been unemployed since March and I'm doing everything possible just to get by.

The main reason why I remain in the U.S. isn't the money issue at all though. I actually happen to live in a small farm based community. It's always quiet here. There hasn't been a murder since 1976. That's 14 years before I was even born. Pretty much everyone and everything is self sufficient. Nearest city is over 20 miles away. You see, not every place in America is as vile as the media often makes it seem.

Look around the world, there's nowhere to run. Japan is a radioactive wasteland, China is a shithole, who knows what the Russians are thinking, Europe is a police state, Mexico is a shithole, Canada is becoming a police state, Australia is a green police state and many countries are hard to gain citizenship to. South America is probably the least screwed up continent at the moment, if you discount the violent drug cartels and everyday street thugs. America is a fascist police state and there's no doubt about it. There's nowhere to run or hide. The whole world is fucked up. I was born here and I will die here.
