seriously - I think I have photographed something paranormal.
this is serious question and I would be glad to hear if there is a technical reason to explain . pls have a look at the full sized jpg, nothing scary ( except if you find graveyards scary ) only something which does not belong there in the trees, to the right edge, middle .

I swear this picture has not been manipulated in any way , you can even download it ( cc licensed ) and see the EXIF data of the file yourself ( my others are edited, but that is obviously and my others are not of interest here )

That's a damn good one OP and not your usual "orb" (flying dust).

So the obvious questions, was there cigarette smoke anywhere near, had it been raining, was anything like this in any more pics, etc.

Good catch OP...looks paranormal to me. I get pics like this all the time in the woods where I live. Can't explain them, they just are what they are.

Daylight as usual, around 4/5 pm , extra dim ambient as it is in the forrest.

Nobody smoked and there was no rain or rainbow, fog or whatsoever.

I shot around 30 pictures and all of them are intact. This one is basically crap and I would have deleted it after viewing the files on my computer, but then I noticed this "thing".

The place had to me and my friend nothing scary or spooky, its just a old cemetery in the forrest, its a nice location to take shots of weary tombstones, gates, crosses and so on.

We had the dog with us, as we stepped away from the graveyard and were outside the forrest on the street again he barked insanely and the direction would be that of my "artifact"you see there.

That's why I am so searching for an answer.

lol I don't think I've ever conceptualized orbs as "flying dust" before. More like little translucent balls of energy thumbs

believe me, I am extra sceptic when I see such "orb" pictures . I am into graphics design, photography and therefore know how easily you can photoshop items into a file. And because of this, I am shocked because I have never seen such a thing coming out of a camera.

That's why I allow the download of the file and still leave the SDcard intact as only evidence that is is untinkered.

Nah, it's usually dust.

I've been through this several times over the years here at GLP having once been a "orb" believer myself...

Some orbs are energy... very very rarely and they're usually vivid and opaque...

Now OP's pic is what I'd call energy.

"Energy" .. uhm yes maybe .. but isn't this just then another word for "something very disturbing that's not supposed to be seen"

( I haven't seen this when taking the picture, naturally .. hence the surprise after it was in my computer ) .

OP, an interesting photo presented without any speculations.

Of course I'm skeptical (by nature) but at the same time I cannot exclude the existence of "paranormal"; BTW, "paranormal" might be just normal that we don't understand yet.

Of course not. Why would it be disturbing? Because you're brainwashed by movies and TV? Try... not being brainwashed by movies and TV.

Well I also believe there exist "spirits"/"energy" whatever.. I am not too religious or have some prefixed worldview - and it is only a coincidence that it is a christian graveyard - it could have been any place.

So I am "open minded", this is the best expression. Therefore I keep the 0,1% probability of it being something from "beyond" and I only want to hear what others think.

So far everybody says it is something "strange". Even a befriended photographer has no explanation.

You've caught yourself a Trans-dimensional Eattins Quark Flying Fish there OP.

On a serious note, interesting pic and it does resemble the head of a fish (to me). Though, I'm sure I would fail miserably on a blotch test.

Sounds fair to me; my first assumption at given conditions (an apparently humid forest) would be that it was a water droplet on the lens. But that's just an assumption.

But isn't the "fog" thing way too bright and too big for that ? If it is a drop then it should be on other pictures of that minutes also.. I will inspect the other files each one and also the lens of the camera. Later when I have enough time .

i have one that i took about a year ago that is huge (about 2ft dia) that is silvery in color. took several shots in the same direction but only one shows this "thing"
need to find and load it.
(also have one from sunset crater/wapati ruins N of Flagstaff that shows swooping white energy. took near sundown, camera pointing away from setting sun.)

Re: seriously - I think I have photographed something paranormal.
I checked the lens for dried water ( a photographer suggested it might be "spit" ), compared all shots from before and after. If there was water or "spit" on the lens, he told me it would take about 2-3 minutes to dry and that all after shots would feature at least some leftover artifacts on the same spots.

Nothing. In fact I found a picture, taken just 10 seconds after the one in question and this is perfectly fine. All others before also.

Here is a video ( german, sorry ) where I check the stuff , the lens of the cam and my application.

Don't wonder, its a hackintosh toshiba laptop running OSX ( cause windows sucks )

It could be a spirit orb. Too bad you didn't have either movie or immediate consecutive shots to see if there is erratic movements.
I've gone to haunted cemeteries at night and without aiming just started shooting consecutive pictures in the same spot. Amazing what you might find
