Message Subject Is it normal for trees to start dropping leaves in June ???

I've lived in Hillbilly NY for most of my life, and have never noticed what appeared to be early leaf drop until last summer.

Last year I noticed it far before the typical fall shedding.

Yesterday my 3 year old grandaughter said, "Look Grandma it's snowing !!" Sure enough I went outside and our willows are dropping leaves like crazy .... with 3 huge ones in our yard, it certainly looked something like snow fall.

Is this normal, or are we experiencing something completely new in the past 2 years ???

Anyone else noticing it ?

LOL !!!!!!! depends on a few things--'
tree needs more water
is growing
has some sort of sickness
OR simply is the same kind of POS right here that sheds,DROPS leaves and bark and branches all throughout the summer.
other morning i thought it was FALL,the leaves were ankle deep all over the place.
does it EVERY YEAR and LIVES on to do all over again next year.

Well I've had this specific yard and trees for over 14 years, lived in the area for over 45, and have been getting a very good mix of rain and sun all spring. Let me add to the list as our Bean Tree(Catalpa Speciosa), which is typically in full bloom now, and abundantly so, is barely pushing out a flower.

This did happen last year, I made lots of excuses, but to have it happen again this year ??? It's not making much sense as pure happenstance.
