Any tech people know how my FB friends went from 4970 to 5655 overnight and how this was allowed?

I've been holding steady at just under 5000 friends on Facebook, which is the limit, however just today I noticed that my friend count went from 4983 to 5655... exceeding the limit by 655! This just has me baffled and I see no logical reason why it happened.

Also, the FB friend limit is 5000 so how can it happen??

This is actually more of just a baffling incident, but a big annoyance too, cause just now I went to friend someone who seemed interesting and I got the message saying FB only allows up to 5000 friends. So WTF??!!

So I thought I would just give GLP a shot to see if anyone might know of an explanation for this to be happening and if anyone on here has experienced anything like it too.

Also, I know from experience that if this thread gets any response, there will be a fair share of the typical assholes who just hate facebook and who also think there shit doesn't stink.... I have my own reasons for using it and do not need to be told that is sucks or anything like that. Just want an answer to this strange anomaly. thanks :)
