Exactly what I thought. But this is definitely doom ON.

clue me in here..why would a major market event happen precisely during OFF hours..and not friday or monday for instance?

This, and CNBS Eurozone doom 'n' gloom, makes me think the Euro is in for a (temporary) bottom.

They will always want to do it when the market is closed to the news can get to as many people as possible, therefore everybody has equal trading abilities - not just the pros.

There was a thread yesterday about the same subject and it outlined two things one on Sun and the other on Mon. I think the one on Sun dealt with the Greek election. I'm not sure about Mon maybe G20. But there was no indication of the suspension of currency trading at that point.

Not USA market doom.....just Greece leaving the EURO and EURO UNION market doom.

And the contagion effect in the banking system could easily affect us here in North America.
