Quoting: Solar Guardian I take back that statement, with the condition, "unless if it is below 4 but happens in an area where earthquakes are rare." For example recently we had several Mag 2-4 earthquakes at areas that don't previously had such earthquakes for years, so if it is under such conditions, then it would be an attention-grabber. However, for Japan, which is in the Pacific Ring of Fire region, Mag 4 earthquakes are nothing worth shouting about. Wake me when the next 7-9 hits. |

Happened to be over Halloween. He is pretty tall, 6 ft 4 inches, and I am 6'2 and a little more built. He dressed up as Godzilla and I dressed up as Mothra and then we went to the bars. By the end of the night we were both so drunk that he would start running at crowds of japanese in bars or on streets and I would video them on my phone as they all started running from him. There are some kinds of funny that never get old, such as Japanese pointing fingers and yelling "GODZILLA!!!" and running the other way. In other words, we did our civic duty as Americans to piss off the rest of the world that night but it was hilarious. |

I'm not saying we're all safe from future quakes but don't waste people's time reporting anything unless it is a 5+ or the duration is more than 30 seconds. Even Ramen noodle shacks are safe. Quoting: ren1999 I agree. There is way to much reporting about earthquakes. Save it for larger quakes. In my opinion, only quakes larger than 6.5 magnitude are news worthy. |
