Hey thanks, yh, I was seriously thinking about getting a heavy duty floor safe, the only reason why I thought about keeping it in the bank was the convenience of not carrying cash and paying for items on card.

I have and am considering other options like setting up a business or something so the money is being used rather than being stored. I have estate agency experiance and considered getting on property ladder but £70k won't buy much here in Manchester and what you can buy are run down ex crack houses.

I have got loads of options to explore but tbh, getting a safe and storing it at home is the safest option until I decide what to do.
