Holder "agreed to sit down and talk with a Congressional
committee" ONLY if the Committee would not pursue this
matter further, regardless of what the Committee heard.

Holder's an attorney and knows that offer was bullshit.

Furthermore, Holder handpicking a mere 7,600 documents that
won't incriminate Holder out of the 140,000 that Congress requested
is yet another move that BEGS for contempt ... which is just what Holder got!

He agreed to talk if they would drop the contempt charge. They could still pursue any other charges that may arise. Also that 140,000 was Issa's wish list. It was later dropped to 13,000 and Holder gave them 7,600 and claimed the rest were Case sensitive material he would discuss with individual members but he was legally obligated to with hold them.

In the other cases, it involved documents belonging to the WH. In this case it concerns documents created by the Attorney General's office. Executive Privilege does NOT extend to the Justice Department's documents.

Come on people get a life. The Justice Dept is an agency of the EXECUTIVE Branch. While Congress approved the appointment of Holder it is up to the Pres. to determine whether he remains or not. Absent, any real discussion about the hairbrained scheme that brought this on and when it was hateched it appears to me that this is just another attempt to embarass the current administration by the REPO majority in the HOUSE. Take NOTE not one of those IDIOTS was concerned enough about the country to try and stop this nonsense. Anyone here old enough to remember the "Iran-Contra Affair" during the Reagan Admin? Note carefully that Exec Privilege was invoked and the Dems did not attempt to hold the appropriate Reagan appointee hostage. The DOJ is right in its action. If the HOUSE was serious in the first place it has its remedies which it won't employ because they have accomplished what they wanted.
