Sabbath is lunar, not cyclical.
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1090326 The Sabbath is not lunar. Read Genesis.
Oretty simple to figure it out. Tell me how you get your understanding from Genesis chapter 1 and 2?
The moon was used the way we record months. We have numbered the days in our months. But they don't always fall on the same week day.
For instance, I could be born on the 11th moon and the 5th day of that month. The 5th day of the 11th moon might be what we call "wednesday".
But the 5th day of 7th moon that year could have been on a Monday.
So the WEEKDAYS the 5th falls on each moon differ. Just like the current monthly calender we use. You can change the numbers all you want, but the days always fall in the same order: SUnday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday.
The Jewish week has ALWAYS been the same. Every Jewish scholar will tell you that, it is always a 7 day week.
They have some holiday sabbaths that occur during the week. But they always acknowledge the 7 day week cycle and THE SABBATH that is every 7 days. Nothing changes their 7 day cycle.
