all connected Thread: Strange Haze in Northeast Alabama Coming from Dust Storm? (also showing on local radar and MODIS) Visibility is terrible and the air is thick with an odorless haze...I live on the river and sometimes the fog lifting will linger around for a while but I haven't seen this even when we had nearby forest fires. We have no cloud cover whatsoever...here is an image of our local radar picking up the haze in my area. Edit: Seems to be leftovers from yesterdays Midwest dust storm...thanks to all and consider how anything airborne can make it's way across the country in hours. [ link to whnt.com] :localradar640: Here is this mornings MODIS image...looks like the haze is coming from Louisiana. [ link to ge.ssec.wisc.edu] :MODIS101912: Quoting: 2cents
