Less regulation for Big Banks.
Less regulation for Wall Street.
Less regulation for Big Oil.
Less regulation for Big Pharma.
Less resistance from the other-side.

People who want to do illegal stuff will use encrypted networks such as tor. They will thus evade the measures.

The data collected or the procedures implemented can (and most likely will) impede other things as well (ranging from government criticism to a whole range of other things).
