Anonymous Coward User ID: 19238945 Spain 07/23/2012 12:47 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | that can't be right. we have an Australian shill that keeps posting that his family there report everything is fine and that it is all made up. and that the riots are hollywood films. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 19385012 Most expats are doing fine and those that weren't, have left the country. Same thing here in Spain and sadly I'm one of those leaving soon. I have work (for other expats) but my son graduated from school last month and with over 52% of under 25s unemployed... it's the best option for his future. Most of his friends plan to sign up for the military because they see it as their only option. I have Spanish friends who are struggling for the cash they need for rent or mortgages but they're doing fine for food because they grow it and keep chickens and goats. Some grow one kind of veg, another keeps goats, another a different kind of veg, then they share it. I'm lucky enough to receive a bag of veg every other week, from friends... bet we won't get that back in England! Oh well, I can't have everything and right now my son's future comes first. However, the 'other half' are doing fine - either pensioners who get their income paid into the bank every month or wealthy expats who get a trust fund payment every month. |
