1)Upon being arrested, Holmes told police “I am Joker, enemy of Batman.”
2)Holmes bought weapons and six thousand rounds of ammunition two months before the killing spree.
3)Worked as a camp counselor for underprivileged children at Camp Max Straus, which is run by Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters of Los Angeles.
Holmes was an honors student at Westview High School, but did not walk in his graduation ceremony. He was also a Ph.D. candidate at the 4)University of Colorado-Denver graduate program in neuroscience until he voluntarily withdrew from the program in June.
5)According to neighbors, Holmes was just days away from possibly being evicted from his Colorado apartment that was booby trapped.
6)According to KMGH TV in Denver, Holmes took 100 mg of Vicodin just two-and-a-half hours before the shooting rampage. Also, a man who lived across the street from Holmes told the NY Post that he used to “see him smoking weed behind the apartment. Nobody ever really talked to him. He was alone a lot.”
7)Holmes applied for a membership at a gun range in Colorado in June but never became a member because the range’s owner was “spooked” by his voice mail message.
8)Holmes has two dating profiles including Match.com and AdultFriendFinder.com in which he describes himself as a guy looking for a “casual sex girl.” He also wrote, “Will you visit me in prison?”
9)Although saddened, Holmes’ mother was not surprised when she heard about the mass murder her son is accused of committing.
10)Holmes appeared sedated in court Monday morning: Opening his eyes extremely widely, dozing off while the judge was speaking, and blinking at a rapid rate. And Holmes did not say a word during the hearing.
