There is little difference in basic human nature, people have similar basic instincts, I am white and I was bullied on the school bus to no end by my fellow whites throughout middle school and high school. I was even "burned", thankfully the clothes I happened to be wearing that day were not that flammable! There is NO doubt about it, bullying is a disgraceful act.

The difference is how do "we" react to such a disgraceful act? In the weeks to come those two white teens will most likely regret doing this for a variety of reasons. They may face criminal charges, they may have a million dollar bounty placed on their heads by the "you know who", they may be "confronted" on the street by a "flash mob", who knows.

I think the "issue" people take is that when the "direction" of the violence is in the opposite/reverse direction to this case, very little action occurs to the offenders. Say what you want, but, you can go and research "the numbers" yourself.

Don't get me wrong, in Middle School, 3 white guys on the back of the bus started drum rolling when I got on the bus one morning.. I thought, "WTF?" Once I sit down, one pulls me out of my seat and aims his fists at my face. They were bullies, rednecks, and did I mention this was in a small town in South Carolina?

In the same school, a group of blacks would bully me because I wasn't their type of black.

I have lots of friends from lots of cultures and races, yes this was white against black, but what about black against white stuff that happens but can't be talked about cause then everyone sticking up for the white guy, even if they are black themselves is thought of as anti black. Also white against Asian, Black against Asian. All the cultures of the world have some people racist against other cultures, that does not mean everyone from that culture is racist.
