Sadly, it's not the same once you head further inland. Life for people in some areas is getting really desperate. I just posted on one of Luisport's threads about a lady offering to sell her kidney! Many families are living together to share costs. Another story in The Olive Press (link on Luisport's thread) tells of 3 campsites on the Costa Tropical accepting pesatas as payment.

We're moving back to England in mid August. We don't want to, my children grew up here and my husband and I still have work here BUT my son finished school in June and with youth unemployment as high as it is he has no future here. We came here so our kids could have a better childhood and they did but sadly it's now time to leave... hopefully not for too long.
