How is there nothing on here about this? GAME SHOWS FUTURE WAR BETWEEN RUSSIA AND USA...DARPA INVOLVED
So there was a game released in 2010 called "Vanquish"

Released by Platinum Games...3rd person shooter sounds normal so far right???

... you play as a Bionically Advanced/Augmented "Super Soldier", sent into a War started Russia when they use a Weaponized Satellite to destroy San Fran...ok still just your average modern video game right?

But get this...the Agency you work for is called DARPA.

I thought this sounded very familiar so after a few minutes of google research I found the DARPA website...turns out they are a front for the gov't to develop...Bionically Advanced/Augmented Super Soldiers...wait what?

a bit more research shows a DARPA "Rival" just opened shop...in Russia.

WTF?

No wonder this game wasn't marketed in the US. According to reviews it is an amazing game, so it's not like it was a dud.

I'm about to play it as soon as it finishes downloading. I'll let you know if theres anything GLP worthy in it...

Anyone that has played feel free to let us know how you feel about the game...PLEASE NO SPOILERS! hf

DARPA has been around since the 50's...

It is their job to figure out how to use technology for military applications.

Most of the latest and greatest tech is developed/tested there first.
I see what the world don't show me.

It pretty weird for a game to have a plot worthy of GLP. I know there are a bunch but this one doesn't have a single thread on GLP.

hahah...mention of the Pentagon already within the first 5 mins...and after you complete training you get an achievement called "A Day at DARPA" lol
