The east coast of the United States will have ample warning, but with all the accidents how will people leave?

I live in South Florida and my plan is to get on a boat/yacht/ship and ride out and directly into the wave. I figure that's the best chance of survival. I was considering finding the tallest local building that I can find and going to the roof, but I'm afraid it might not be high enough.

Another option is to buy a jetpack, which would be ideal.

Listen the best damm thing you can do is go as far as you can inland and as high as you can in the strongest structure you can find. Water weighs in at over 7 pounds a gallon folks. This will happen. I feel it.

i live in so fl as well and WHEN the volcano at la palma falls into the ocean, it will take only nine hours to reach the east coast and it very well could go clear across the state.

9 hours you say? Then I can take my time driving carefully and creatively to the mountains, and find a nice, vacant vacation home to borrow.

I sure hope I'm far enough inland. I always wanted a beach house.

The chaos on the road ways will trap most there.I believe the bottom 2/3 rds of Fl is going into the water at some point not to far away.Fl is doomed in so many ways. The mess in the gulf, the escaping gas in the gulf, close to Cuba, etc. Many other reason to many to list

I figure being 42 miles inland in New England is going to pay off with some beach front property. The wave should stop on the other side of the hills from my home. From the hills to Cape Cod is pretty flat. It should be close.

Florida is scary. Highest point is 346 ft. Why would anyone in live there? It has been said that those who are less vigorous when it comes to the hardy life live in warmer climates. Oh and umm lots of older folk.

So nine hours of panick and accidents, clogged roads, most likely no air-conditioning with mindless looters living it up for nine more hours before entering eternity..Umm that alone is scary.

secure yourself a place in the Millennium

repent

in truth those who are taken out by the upcoming geologic onslaughts will find it was somewhat fortunate in light of all things ongoing at present, as the time left in this dispensation grows short, regardless

they can earn their place on the right side of the gulf in said Millinneum Age without having to go thru tribulation at the hand of the antichrist, in which to succeed one will have to go the distance against all odds and the majority of people left in the world at that time, who will in all truth believe him to be their Lord and Saviour albeit mistakenly, only to be found to have been worshipping satan in the final moments

not a pretty picture for those who've spent their lifetimes in church pews doing the best they know how to be worthy of that which follows in overcoming the ways of this world

for those who survive the downside of all to come to pass in this regard, the pit and the snare await

Buy yourself a motor bike NOW and you'll be prepared to hit the road and be able to move along the side of the highway. Others will be stuck and never make it. With a motor bike you would definitely be able to make it to a safe place inland and away from the coast.

Stay safe people.

Get a job at a local small airport. Copy all the single engine keys. Bug out on a dirt bike so you get there 1st.

WHAT? Me Worry?

Once word comes that the tsunami is coming I'll just quickly invent an anti-gravity machine, build it, attach it to a BIG building and lift that big building filled with lots of people above the wave!!

Disaster planning is important, but worry over an event that most likely won't happen in your life-time will only put undue stress on mind, body and soul. Just remember, odds are MUCH MUCH greater that you will die in a car wreck on the way to the grocery store in your life than drowning in some freak tidal wave. But I bet you have no problem getting in the car and buzzing down the street for...
