Googled the fungal name of aspergillus and Craig Venter and found this. Seems his institute is or was heading up some research. Could this prove to be airborne afterall????????

Just in case no one knows this, steroids often lower immunity ALOT and at the same time will often mask an infection making it harder to know when someone is actually sick.

Looks like the incubation period on this type of meningitis is 2-28 days.

all smoke and mirrors.

the Question IS: where in the hell did all that gas come from in the first place!
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 25075586

Good question, but I disagree it is all smoke and mirrors. At any rate, I was responding about all the posts I saw regarding increased activity from the monitors today and someone specifically asked about LA #9.

well, those massive harmonics lasted about 3 hrs.
and if that machinery was right up next to the
seismographs, i suppose it could account for
those humongous readings. but that's a lot of "ifs"

maybe they are doing the drilling near the Bayou Corne
seismograph and that's why the Bayou Corne seismograph has been down all day?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 25075586

Today they were drilling where number 9 is. If you look at the monitor location map, [link to www.edsuite.com] there is a color code with that color circled around each monitor and the monitors are numbered. Number 9 went crazy this morning, consistent with drilling. And the deeper they got, the less activity showson the graph, which makes sense to me.

Number 1, labeled Bayou Corne has a lot of activity too. That may be where they are putting the second well tomorrow. The graph for tomorrow should reflect that for comparison. I don't see where any of the monitors have been down all day, especially the Bayou Corne one. No LA01.

yes LA 09 is right at the Sinkhole, and that is the
seismograph that was making all the off-scale harmonic tremors. so from that standpoint you are correct. and
the drill was at #9.

LA O1 is the seismograph that's been down all day.

Ok this may be far reaching here, but what if.

What if hurricane Isaac, which the eye of went right over Bayou Corne, stirred up something and dumped it with the storm path through the states?

IF that were a plausible scenario, we would see hardest hit states that were in the path of the storm. Can anyone find a map of where the illnesses are being reported?

Also, what IF, proposed scenario above did happen. Would the spores or whatever....be in the soil now and if so, how would that affect us? Or would it?

My head is spinning at the thought that this could even possibly be tied in. Very scary thoughts.

Speaking of gas expanding at supersonic speed underground (aka "Matt Simmons Syndrome"...it fits whoever said this):

"Police in Manchester Township, NJ are investigating a mysterious boom that shook block after block in the Ocean County community Thursday night. Residents say it felt and sounded like an explosion.

“It was so loud that my windows were rattling" said Jayne Yereance. "I really thought the house next door blew up. That’s how bad it was.”

Residents say there have been similar incidents since the summer. Police are trying to determine if they're connected, but investigators don't yet know where the sounds are coming from or who is responsible."

Aspergillus-anyone want to guess who might be connected to this particular fungus that is causing the meningitis???

See below..

Genomics

The simultaneous publication of three Aspergillus genome manuscripts in Nature in December 2005 established Aspergillus as the leading filamentous fungal genus for comparative genomic studies. Like most major genome projects, these Aspergillus efforts were collaborations between a large sequencing centre and the respective community of scientists. For example, the Institute for Genome Research (TIGR) worked with the Aspergillus fumigatus community. A. nidulans was sequenced at the Broad Institute. A. oryzae was sequenced in Japan at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology. The Joint Genome Institute ( JGI) of the Department of Energy has released sequence data for a citric acid-producing strain of A. niger. TIGR, now renamed the Venter Institute is currently spearheading a project on the A. flavus genome.[7]

Genome sizes for sequenced species of Aspergillus range from approximately 29.3 Mb for A. fumigatus to 37.1 Mb for A. oryzae while the numbers of predicted genes vary from approximately 9926 for A. fumigatus to approximately 12,071 for A. oryzae. The genome size of an enzyme producing strain of A. niger is of intermediate size at 33.9 Mb.[2]

Re: Don't make ASSUMPTIONS; try to Understand.
But it not a failed salt dome. It is a failed brine cavern. I see people using these terms interchageably, and they are not. They are 2 separate things. Caverns have failed before. We had cavern failure in 2003, Christmas day. People were not even given time to pick up presents under their trees. Nothing but slabs were an entire community used to be. This is a failed cavern again, and all of this could have been possibly prevented if the failure had been followed up on. It wasn't. A salt dome failure would indeed be catastrophic, but that hasn't happened. All near pipelines have been emptied and closed. The butane and gas caverns are being moved. The free underground gas is the problem, and that may never get resolved, but I can't see it being a manipulational thing.
 Quoting: Patassa

I would like to agree with you and say its just an isolated failed salt cavern within the dome...but that doesnt make sense. The theory behind this is that Texas Brine attempted to drill in the layer above the salt dome...during this drilling it was suspected that they pierced the wall of the dome/cavern causing the cavern to lose pressure and fail...
but there is one big hole in this theory.
It has been confirmed that the cavern has failed in the BOTTOM area....ie not at the top where the drilling was....Texas Brine is a convenient scapegoat...yes...it also gives the idea that just 'one cavern' has failed...but if that is truly the case why has the cavern been breached by hydrocarbons at the BOTTOM as has already been confirmed??? ( they also confirmed that the dome was not breached in its top two third at all...)

Forgive me for not finding time to link the appropriate findings to this post but can assure you that it is fact that they stated the hydrocarbon has breached the bottom...which implicates that the dome itself HAS failed or at least its outer wall far far underground...
 Quoting: taniatarn

You're thinking right, except no one, not even Texas Brine said that they drilled through the salt wall. What Texas brine said, was that they feared the wall of salt between the cavern and the earth was breeched. That simply means that they mined to close to the edge of the dome, and that could indeed have been at the bottom. Here is the letters from TB describing the breech, and notice, nowhere do they say they drilled a breech. Just that one occurred.

[link to theadvocate.com]

The scientific theory group in our first public meeting explained this; mining to close to the edge of the dome and breeching as a possiblility. Texas Brine was directly asked how close the cavern was to the dome edge, and they flat out said they had no idea. I heard them say it myself, but I know I've seen it documented as well.

I just wanted to add this bit of info, just for all to keep in mind because the timing of it is odd and I have learned that timing is everything and that those who control the world often like to set the stage in advance.

Do you all recall that just two days or so ago, someone released to the news the full uncut copy of Obama speaking in 2007 before a crowd of black pastors? He was remarking on the way New Orleans and the people there were treated less importantly in their disaster then the people who suffered through hurricane Andrew and 9-11 in Manhattan. In his usual style, he was race baiting and implying that the government didn't care about the people of New Orleans because they are black.

Why put that speech, now released fully, out there in the public eye right now, with a potential disaster looming in New Orleans again? Coincidence, maybe. Maybe not.

Senator: Louisiana sinkhole a catastrophic Lake Peigneur genocide in progress
[link to www.examiner.com]

Human rights defender Senator Fred Mills believes that it appears Assumption Parish’s salt dome sinkhole is becoming another ongoing manmade Lake Peigneur catastrophe, a government supported oil and gas industry genocide through poisoned water, according to his interview Sunday by Deborah Dupré. Mysterious gas bubbles plaguing Bayou Corne sinkhole area are also increasing at Lake Peigneur, 80 miles west of the sinkhole, say Mills and his constituents.

“We tried to pass legislation last year to prevent these salt dome catastrophes in Louisiana, but they looked at us like we’re against progress,” State Senator Fred Mills, in his gentle Cajun accent, told Dupré.

“This is genocide,” said Mills of Assumption's neighboring parishes, Iberia and St. Martin, heart of Southern Louisiana culture. “This is a statewide issue. There’s more arsenic in water here now, and other contaminants. It’s just getting worse.”

Lot of bridges. Old bridges. Unmaintained bridges.
Most built with 50 year lifespans in the fifties...
Wouldn't take a lot to isolate huge sections with many of the rivers/creeks made impassible by collapsed bridges caused by a large EQ.

Snoopy Dawg back again. You gettin' the big pic now??

Many of us Dawgs have been gatherers, in life some are hunters. We're gatherers. East Texas is a trusted friend of the Dawgs. The pound is nationwide. This normal guy was tasked with an abnormal charge because of TRUST. Rare quality nowadays lemme tell ya.

East Texas paid attention to all the barking. Truth be told not even all the Dawgs knew the big picture, East Texas figured it out.

This is the reason for sporadic periods of info. The rest of the Dawgs had to discuss and come to an agreement. Fact is the pieces were laid out and the one piece no one could figure out (think synthia and/or fungus) ...well East Texas got it.

And he warned you but never until he was sure.

Y'all owe him a debt of gratitude. He won't see this and can't but it don't matter the Dawgs know it.

That said hopefully the next couple days will get real interesting. Some sorry motherfuckers who deserve to go down hopefully will.
