Ok. There is a lot of blame to go around with regards to this situation. What really frustrates me about this topic is that nobody holds Mayor Nadigan responsible. The guy was an opportunist and completely incompetent. He dropped the ball when it came to his local responsibilities and threw his hands up and said it was all Bush's fault that everything went down the way it did. He had no problem getting out of town for a vacation while everything fell apart. Not to mention his racist comments about wanting to keep Louisiana a chocolate state.but i digress.


And what about the people? Take a look at Japan with Fukushima. Those people banned together after such an incredibly tragedy. No one was wading in the water with LCD flat screens. Once again, I have to point out that the values of varying cultures effect the whole. The cultural values of the Japanese people allowed them to reach within themselves and hold it together. As far as those in the gulf...well I think the cultural differences are apparent and it would not be racist or subjective for me to draw some kind of correlation here.
