People that travel here often can buy a card that gives you cheaper trips and a designated lane so you can board your car first. But that only works if you are here at least 10 minutes before embarkation. One guy came after embarkation and just stopped his car next to guy who is loading the boat and starts a huge rant. He goes on and on about how bad it is that he couldn't be in the designated lane. After all, he is a frequent traveller! *sigh* Then the loading guy says, very sarcasticly, "Well, we could unload the boat and then let you through!" The customer thinks it's a great idea, and when he finds out he was joking he gets so angry that he just burns away screaming profanities. I'm sorry to hear that! Well, i do the same thing as you do. But since i have the company with my friend i do some work with that. And i have great friends and family to talk to also. Working out is a way of letting anger out. I also watch football games with my local team, so 2-3 time a months i can act like a caveman for 105 minutes. I used it as an opportunity to hone my skills at sensing vibes. It would get that I could pick up hostility or a positive vibe as soon as they walked in the door. The better you get at it the more you are in control. Believe it or not, sometimes just the right response really changes their attitude, especially if you have a sense of humor. It is a skill that could serve you well. |

I could tell you some strange tales of anguish and depravity. I used to start my training of new employees with this, "The first thing you must realize is ... The costumer is always wrong." lol Most of the time people do not know what the hell they are doing. It's very draining. Good humor helps a lot. Good music is always soothing too. Just watch and learn. I am fond of telling folks, " If you really want to get to know your fellow man, take a low costumer service job for about ten years." You will be wise beyond your years. |

And i wouldn't call it slave wage since the minimum wage in Sweden is quite high. And it's not a minimum wage job. People that come here don't have ANY idea of what they are doing. They don't greet me, and are often very rude. When i greet them and what they would like, they just stare at me. So i have to SUGGEST to them what i think they would like to have. I mean, we sell tickets to Germany. And they go for about 120 Euros one way. If you are about to go for a vacation, one would think that you check that stuff up BEFORE you leave? And the strangest thing is that they get pissed off at ME. I don't set the prices. And if a boat breaks down or it's delayed. It's my fault of course. Everyday people yell at me and calling me names just because i try to explain to them why the prices are high or why the boat isn't there yet. There are many more stories about people acting strange, i just wanted you to get the general idea of what i mean with this. I just wonder, have you guys the same experience with people that i have? Or do i just have bad luck all with the general public all the time? If you have any more questions, please ask. Some say a comet will fall from the sky. Followed by meteor showers and tidal waves.
