That woman loks more like she was having a breakdown after someone had put the heavy straw on her her over laden back. (For the ones with teh dum, that's a "straw that broke the camel's back" reference).

IT's almost like she was lashing out at having been forced to apologize for something she was owed an apology for. It's happened to me before and I flipped out when it did...not that bad, but those around me knew that an injustice had been committed against me.

I must be one of those "idiots" who drive there according to you. Actually, the only time you can drive somewhat fast is through a crosswalk when you have a green light. That's when pedestrians think they can make it across the street against the red light. I, for one, speed up through the intersection when I see people crossing when they shouldn't. Just to remind them they don't have the right of way.

I'm normally not an aggressive driver except when I'm driving in the City. You have to be aggressive or you won't get anywhere. The cab drivers will cut you off time and time again. In certain situations I find myself hitting the gas and mentally crossing my fingers. Yet, NYC is far from the most crazy place to drive in the world.

There was no reason for anyone to physically stop her. I have no doubt that if she was hurting someone, though, a bunch of people would have crashed down on her.

It's funny to me regardless of the reason this woman is flipping out. I live in a two x one mile town, 23,000 residents x 240 cops. The Police station is smack in the middle, yet takes 10 mins for them to respond. Now, in NYC where there are three cops for EVERY BLOCK. If this woman had a gun, how many people could she kill within three minutes if she had more then one clip? Yet, How many people would the cops kill with the horde of people that build up around this one woman?

LOL. It's not Mayberry. It wasn't an emergency. If the cops responded to every call within two minutes, the NYPD would have to be 20 times the size.

Where do you get the idea that there are three cops on every block? Every block isn't Times Sq. or some other touristy spot. I could walk 20 blocks and not see one cop. If there was even one cop on that block you would have seen him.

I agree....all the people with their iphones getting up really close to her, thinking they're going to be the next millionaire to sell their video to TMZ, rather than attempting to get her out of traffic, either verbally or gently physically. What a culture!!!!

Agreed. If this clip was shown 20 years ago showing all the people up close videoing this with their iphones, people would think it was out of the fictional movie "1984". But it's real life, and sickeningly stupid, ignorant, and voyeuristic. Our culture would rather watch than live. Suit yourself. Your loss.

I believe in second chances. Obviously she's upset. I think we should show empathy. For someone to go to this extreme, something is up. Let's find out what, before we act in a way that we can't take back.

Come on. I'm not on top of them when I speed up. What is everyone supposed to do? Stop in the crosswalk and patiently wait for those people to cross? Then the traffic behind you will back up, the light will change and then a bunch of cars will be stuck in the crosswalk, which btw is a violation, and then cars who have now have the green light will freak out because a bunch of cars are in their way and it will be a mess. Multiply that by thousands of intersections. Don't blame the drivers, blame the pedestrians. That is, unless I'm a pedestrian ;).
