"Electricity Rate Raise

Thank you for using our services.

Our request for electricity rate raise (average of 8.46%) for low voltage power service customers (households, stores and offices) has been approved by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. The rate raise will be effective on September 1, 2012. We deeply apologize to our customers for the heavy burden.

As for the electricity rate for high voltage and extra-high voltage power service customers in the deregulated sector (buildings, factories, etc.), the rate raise amount will be reduced by 0.25 yen/kWh from the original raise amount which became effective on April 1, 2012 as a result of reviewing the costs normally accounted for in the calculation of the electricity rates.

Under the new management system, further business streamlining and management reforms will be implemented while absorbing a variety of opinions and comments from our customers. We greatly appreciate your understanding."

OK... blow up a nuke plant and charge everyone for it..... insurance???... no chance....... it was all fail safed remember.... love the wording.....
