I'm pretty sure that the only other plausible explanation would be water electrolysis from blown transformers and broken water pipes. Hydrogen burns at 10,000 degrees. Well within the range of melting steel. But there is no way our government is going to openly teach water electrolysis either. Eat, drink, and be merry, for tomorrow, you may die. |

To deal with this the chamber is cunningly designed through the use of advanced fluid dynamics to have a layer of colder air flowing around the side of the combustion region with the hot burning gasses within.
