I'm in the valley, it's warm and fuckin' humid. Clothes start sticking to me on my way to work in the MORNING. I hate it. And it won't just rain. The humidity builds up huge thunderheads and nothing happens. You're right OP, it's been like this for weeks. Being that close to the beach you shouldn't be dealing with anything much higher than the far and few between 90 degree days. I wish it would end already.

People in California are so spoiled. They freak out over a thunderstorm.

No one is freaking out. We're complaining, goddamnit.

Also in Santa Monica... been here a couple years and I can confirm this. Are the crickets a new development too? didn't notice them last summer

A friend of mine who lives in San Diego said it was over 100 degrees today. That's very odd for San Diego isn't it? Every time I've visited San Diego it's always been pleasant as far as temps go.

20 years in los angeles and NEVER has it been like this. this is new orleans hot. sticky, brain sucking, energy depleting hot. san francisco is four hours away and 40 degrees cooler! i'm going to move north when i can. i was not made for the heat. my korean friends have a nickname for me which translates to 'the belly of a catfish' because i'm so white. this is not healthy. but i love l.a......

I have lived in CA my whole life and I have never experienced heat and humidity like this. It is crazy. Something is definitely wrong here.

I'm in San Diego and I have never experienced heat and humidity like this. I can understand maybe a few days of this but three months is crazy! Like I said earlier something is wrong, very wrong!

It's 11PM with a temp of 78 degrees and 50% humidity. It was waaay over 100 most of the day.

It's been real nice here in Atlanta for the past few weeks. We've been barely getting into the 80's during the day with very little humidity and it's been upper 50's to low 60's at night. I think we switched climates with Southern California or something...

The temperature is fluctuating where I live. Over the past hour it rose 10 degrees then dropped 10 degrees. The Weather Channel is saying it should be 53 degrees, but my outdoor thermometer read 68 for an hour then it dropped back to 58.

Also, I have had a headache for the past 2 days that won't go away. Is the sun acting up or what?

No. it's my lightbulb. I bought a 3 dollar lamp on clearance with a 2 dollar package of 40W bulbs, in cozy relaxing light (TM).

Pressure between plates, perhaps charecterized by certain earthquakes just might cause increased magma flow and increased magma flow just might cause an effusive eruption. An effusive eruption and a water supply just might stank up the air and make it muggy?

The weather channel said the high was 88 today. I don't know where they were taking their readings but it certainly wasn't 88 at the highest. It was 100 at 4pm.
