Do people only pander to " Jesus " because they think they wil be " raptured " or " saved " somehow ?

Most have, but those that haven't set them self up will not be disappointed.

I love HIM, not out of fear, but of thankfulness for dying for my sins. HE gave the greatest gift to every man and woman and child, how could you not love HIM?

Yes. Fear is the great motivator utilized by all religions.
It is not what was taught by Jesus though. And he never created or set up a church or religion. All he ever said was to meet together often and discuss the things he taught; to learn and keep practicing his concepts and methods so that we too, could do the miracles as he did.

But instead we have been the unwitting pawns of manipulation, coercion and control for millenia via someone else's interpretation of what God's purpose for us might be.

I am a sinner and I come short of the glory of God. I thank him for atoning for me because I am not worthy.

I try my best to do good, for myself and others, it seems rare these days that people will really TRY to do much of anything besides what they want to do or what they have to do to earn money to buy the materialistic things they want.

There is so much more to being alive than that, living, consuming and dying is so shallow of an existence to me!

people pander to "jesus" because they haven't done what Our Lady wants which is to say the rosary. Well it's their own fault. Nobody told me about the rosary. I had to find out all on my own.

This is why OP. Your relationship to Christ is through Love and not subjugation.

Yes, we do. We are going to be "saved" in the end. This is not out of "fear" but reward of the new earth where the "saved" will be. The "lost" will not be there.

I don't believe that it says in the bible anywhere that if you believe you will be 'raptured" outta here and not have to endure the tribulation.

What it does say is that we are to "endure to the end".

This doesn't mean you are to endure physically til you die physically......

it means that you are to "believe" and never give up your faith in Jesus........until you die. (no matter what happens to your physical body)

Well, For what it is worth. This is the way I look at it. If Christ, a man who lived a perfect life died on a cross. Then why should I have a ticket out of suffering. Christ seems to make it very clear that the we, as his children, are called to share in his sufferings. I am not going to sit around and wait for angels to swoop me off of this planet. I know my flesh will die but my spirit will live with him one day.

This is not something that can simply be put into words. If you truly are interested you should try to stop grouping the spirit of christ in with the spirit that clearly leads the organizations of the "religious".

Money Money Money. I find it funny that the 10percent that is pushed so heavily in churches these days is the exact amount in which the hypocrite christ spoke of gave. Very clever and deceptive. Many do not even realize this. He does not desire our money. He desires our hearts. So many people build checklists for themselves..."read the bible...check...give 10 percent...check....Go to church...check...tell someone you love them...check, ok now I can do what I want to do."

Therefore I see the ticket out of this world as a fake doctrine spread by TBN and the 700 club. So I do not follow Christ out of fear. I follow christ because he gave me a gift. While my flesh (mind, body, desires of the flesh) are weak his spirit holds me together.

If what Jesus did is true then he is worthy of worship. I believe what he did is true. I mean think about it. If God asked you to die (not just die but be tortured) in a legal exchange so that sinners can be freed, what would you say? thats what God asked me and i decided Jesus did something extraordinary, something not many others would do even if it were possible.
