Soldiers in Afghanistan and other countries were given orders to throw all dogs and puppies over cliffs .. or to let them run and shoot them .. this came from the highest commands of the military .. they said puppies and dogs were surgically implanted with explosives ..

I have been told this by multiple friends and family members that served .. confirming what a dog loving friend, in Afghanistan who was posting dog pics and then stopped (on fb) .. I questioned (when he came home) and he coldly said I shot them all .. freaking shocked ..
