Wow -- talk about selective quoting! You just took things completely out of context from the book... e.g., when the guy talks about the cone and the therapist says it sounds to him like brainwashing, the guy gets really upset and says, now I feel offended, it's not like that at all; nothing is being done against someone's free will, etc.

My overall impression after reading his books was that it is very coercive. That's when I started saying 'just say Bno to reincarnation' and 'hell no I won't go (back)!'. Being firm about it should free you from their control. The afterlife has many religions and beliefs in the lower planes where people of similar beliefs stay together and reinforce each other' s wrong ideas until they finally figure out they are stalled and are motivated to desire and find something more.

I don't think it's just a matter of 'saying no'. You don't have a sayM about it, if that's the way it works. And I don't believe it has something to do with 'their' control. It's karma at work, they also call it the law of cause and effect. Of course at our level, on earth, it's difficult to understand how all this operates.

yes the Newton books say the law of cause and effect means you get sent back to another human body to take it over and live a physical life again to learn the lessons. But how it really works is that your afterlife is where you learn the results of your actions and make amends to the actual ons you've harmed if you haven't already learned that/done that before dying. as another person but as you. You can make amends in this life or in the afterlife.
The reincarnation belief is in error, however you can get stuck in that belief system in the afterlife. At that point Just say No.

meant to say, you make amends to the actual persons you wronged and get their forgiveness. You do it as YOU, and it's not done as you and your victim becoming different persons via reincarnation .
