Europe Stocks are Caching, I mean Crashing

People really should stop using the 'stock market' as a barometer for a countries economic health.

Maybe in the past it was a good tool, but with hedge markets and flash trading, it is all pretty much blind speculation.

I think most of us agree on that "here" and from what I hear, most people with half a brain believe that in the US and Europe as well. The problem is The Fed appears to be operating this way because of:

1) a bad financial market and economy (this was a financial crash not a purely economic one, so the fed should be questioned more then the economy)
2) the fed appears to be perhaps playing politics with this new, useless qe3 focused on old, re-written mortgages that are the root of the problem in the first place - keep things afloat until after the elections.
