Anonymous Coward User ID: 23935893 Belgium 09/20/2012 12:06 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | All this talk about global unrest is getting me pretty worried, and I get the feeling it might be time to prepare for when shtf. I'm living in a city that has been bombed before, as it's a strategicly interesting target (Rotterdam). I would like to be able to pack up & leave with my caravan when things are hotting up, but where will we go? Was thinking to leave for Sweden, and set up camp near one of the many lakes - anything on the main land might be pretty dangerous. Scandinavia gets pretty cold in the winter, but our caravan has a heater and we'll bring plenty of gas. Quoting: Yddap What do you think? Where will you go? Do you really think things will get that bad ? Aren't we all being influenced by all that talk from American preppers and survivalists ? It's a kind of tradition with them. The pioneering spirit, battling Indians, etc. But Europe ? And could it get to the point it makes sense to store food ? |

Quoting: Siward Good point. As for the warm-cold option, I'd rather be where they (whoever they are) think no-one would hide. So Ibiza would not be an option ? :) |

The pioneering spirit, battling Indians, etc. But Europe ? Agree. Also, don't forget we already HAD doom here. We HAD famine, bombings, destructions, diseases, no food etc. It's called WWII. It was not a breeze, but people didn't kill each other in the streets for a slice of bread. Instead, we helped each other with shelters and food from the country (or stolen from Nazis: risky business!). My mother was only 7yo and she could safely walk alone in the streets of Rome during WWII (Rome was hardly hit by famine and no food). Americans never had to face this. So they don't know how their fellow citizens would behave, and imagine the worst. |

I think the Dutch will sue the Muslims for peace and not be reduced to ash. You will most likely convert to Islam and assist in the invasion of Britain. So you can relax the Caliphate spares you. Somewhere above Arvidsjaur in the highlands. Lots of lakes and it's basically a big forest. Tough climate from October to April, but if you just learn how to make igloos and stuff it shouldn't be a problem. Quoting: Kalles Kaviar When the war becomes russians take northern Finland, northern Sweden and northern Norway. We know it already here in Finland and thats why we have taken our army away from northern Finland. Think about that. Why are you so sure of this ? |

And - very important: The Sami people live all over northern Scandinavia/Russia, and they are born to live in the wilderness. Get friends with them, and you'll be safe..! The Sami people doesn't seem to like us "outsiders" so i don't know about that. And the north doesn't seem like a good place after all if what the soumi wrote above is true. And this is what happens when you mess with Celts : Quoting: BuRn i thought you are francks. we are - most of mainland europe are descendants of the franks. a small minority in bretagne in france, and parts of the united kingdom, scotland and ireland, are celtic... This is only partly true, becauze those who you say are descendants of the Franks are also descendants of the Gauls (who were Celts), here in western Europe. |

It's an island, so no borders, not rich so not full of muslims/immigrants. Since the economic downturn there are plenty of newbuild houses just sitting empty, all going cheap. I joke about the weather because it's not as good as my old home in London, but it's not that bad really. Where I live in the West, it's scarcely populated, loads of small farms all with a few acres of land to grow stuff, and to top it all I've got stunning views over the mountains. |

When it gets bad follow these general rules: 1. Get away from all major cities, 2. AVOID Major Highways, travel on back roads 3. AVOID rail roads 4. AVOID Rail stations and Large Ports. If you follow those you should be able to duck the worst of it I think this is sensible advice. Too bad for those of us who like big city life and have lived there all their lives. As a comment. I am thinking of what it looked like in that sports stadium when Katrina hit New Orleans. |

Nope. the 500 years of racist imperialist apartheid and exploitation of Africa and the West by Europeans will be repaid by the Muslim caliphate which will invade western Europe with short range battlefield nuclear weapons and totally decimate Western Europe. America will be a victim of the Oil shortage because of its stupidity of not converting to Alternative energy. It will crumble into anarchy for a period because of Oil starvation which will lead to literal starvation because of the Middle Eastern Wars. Eastern Europe under the protection of Russia who will reap the rewards of finally being rid of NATO will convert to Islam and stand aside as the Caliphate leaves them untouched on the way to Europe. A Great African leader will rise and take up the challenge of expelling the Muslims from Western Europe ater much begging and pleading for help from Africa's former financial enslaver...... according to Nostradamus........... |
