If you actually had a job and paid federal income taxes, you would know your taxes are going up this January thanks to Obama's refusal to extend that Bush tax cuts.

Op, of the 53% who pay federal taxes half are employed by big government and big corporations who suck off big government.

They will vote with the 47%.

The number of federal employees was 3.5 million when I checked last which was some time ago. That's maybe 2% of the adult population. Besides, they don't like to be taxed more than anyone else, and their jobs are quite secure.

I don't agree with your assessment regarding the employees of big corporations. Plus they are nervous about losing their jobs due to Obama and the ObamaCareTax.

Oh yes, if taxes are lowed for those who pay taxes it means that the poor will be incinerated, because that is a logical leap to make.

When JFK, Reagan and Bush lowered income taxes, many millions of poor Americans were forced into incinerators. No doubt it will happen again, when Romney lowers taxes.

The most surprised people in America are going to the Welfare leaches who find that their "tax Check" (Actually a non-payers SUBSIDY check) is going to be CUT by around 25% this year, and by 2/3rds come 2015, if they don't buy health insurance.

The cuts to the personal deduction, the 50% tax increase on the working poor by not extending the Bush Tax cuts, and the Obamacare penalties ARE GOING TO HIT HOME, hard and fast.

Yes, Romney wants to cut "your" taxes. 53% of Americans don't pay taxes? In order to pay any appreciable INCOME tax, one must have some sort of substantial INCOME. All those you disdain for being poor clearly don't make enough money, even if they are on the government teat, to pay much in taxes. This is the same argument that won Reagan great popular support, even from those blue collar workers who were simply so stupid they couldn't even perceive their taxes had not been cut (and in fact, their take home pay was less, due to increases in social security and payroll taxes).

All workers pay taxes. Well, except for those with diplomatic immunity, including their families. Every promise of "tax cuts" is meaningless unless you make enough income, and thus pay enough taxes, to possibly have them cut. This is yet another phony debate, and like all the others continues to fool the mindless American sheeple.

Until the ONLY issue that matters is addressed- the incontestable fact that the overwhelming majority of workers are not paid nearly enough to meet the ever increasing costs of living- all the rest is bread and circuses. With a real unemployment rate over 20%, and about 80% of all those employed given little or no annual raises and fewer benefits, it's only a matter of time before this casino economy reaches the tipping point.

As Henry Ford understood, you have to pay your workers enough to be able to afford the food, housing, utilities, transportation, etc. necessary for survival. American business not only isn't doing that any longer, huge numbers of politicians are bragging about it, and acting as if that's a popular campaign issue. As brainwashed and ignorant as our populace has become, perhaps this will be a successful strategy.
